Do we think Curry is better than Akignon from Cal St. Fullerton? I'm not sure he is.

It's a tough call. Akignon only played in one tourney game, so we have more to look at from Curry. Curry's certainly a gamer, but I wonder if he's starting to get a little gassed. From what I was able to see, he struggled early in the game against the Hoyas. That said, Wisky's D is better than the Hoyas, so I look for him to be even more stymied by Flowers' defense. Plus, an equally good question: how is Davidson's D going to be against Wisky's balance?

I'm not sure either. I'm also not sure if it matters. I didn't think the rest of Davidson's team was significantly better than CSF. I just don't see them competing in a half court game with the Badgers. Davidson's M.O. of falling behind and then making a grand comeback just doesn't seem like the strategy I'd take against Wisconsin.

Agreed, Spartacus. If they fall behind by 17 to us, it's LIGHTS OUT.
I guess my point with the Curry/Akignon comparison is that a nifty guard can knock home 30 points against us, but this looks like another team that is totally dependent on one guy for scoring. Shut him down for even 10 minutes and we'll build a large enough lead to prevail. I'm really excited for the game... whichever day it is!
I don't feel like fatigue will be a factor in this week's game, and I'm really glad we won't have to grind it out down low and tire out Butch/Landry/Stiemsma against Hibbert & Co. Their tallest starter is 6-8, so we'll once again have a decided height advantage down low.
Anyway, I'm hoping Flowers has a big defensive game in him... or at least enough to slow this kid down... 13 threes in two games for Curry!

Let's not get too cocky - Curry scored 20 ppg combined against UCLA/Duke/UNC this year, and by the way - this team lost @ UCLA by 12, @ UNC by 4 and @ Duke by 6. They're no pushovers, and now they've beaten a pretty good Georgetown team.
Anyway, I'm the game this week should be epic!

I second that, Jamasta. The team's good enough to scare (or beat, like today) strong teams. I'm confident, though, that Ryan will unravel the mystery that is Curry. Also, they're coming to Detroit, and I have to think that that's a plus in Wisky's column. If the Badgers control the tempo that'll give us the best shot to make it to the Elite Eight.

Stephen Curry would blow Flowers out of the water. He can shoot better than anyone else and he can drive.
