As much as I like Dallas over Denver, I'd rather Nuggets make the playoff than Mavericks. The offensive duo in A.I. and 'Melo is more exciting to watch, despite the team's poor defensive play. Raptors on the other hand have been disappointing this season, even with Bosh.
The Nuggets are the most now the most exciting team in the league with the changes the Suns have made, win or loss you are going to to get an up and down game. No defense but plenty O. That should sound familier to Dallas fans from 2-3 years ago.. probably wish you could have that team back.
Especially now that Dallas is on a slide and just lost Dirk...they play each other in a few days and if Denver wins, they have a great chance to get into the playoffs as the rest of their schedule is pretty light and they tend to light up the scoreboard against weaker opponents.
The raps have so much potential though. They've just been too inconsistent.
I don't like Dallas at all. Nuggets and Warriors both need to make the playoffs. I don't care about the Blazers. Sure, it will be a shame if they don't make the playoffs....but the Nuggets and Warriors are exciting teams. They both need to play..and are legit contenders to upset the Lakers or Spurs.
The only problem with No D and plenty of O is that it really doesn't win you a championship. If they can get Kenyon Martin and Marcus Camby in gear on defense they might be able to slide there way into the playoffs. Just gotta get past the Warriors which basically seems like they play the same style of basketball. I haven't checked the schedule, but do the Warriors and Nuggets meet up in the next 12 odd games left??
with regeining MVP dirk going down for 2 weeks and the Nuggets hopefully getting hot. . .this is not a good time to be a mavs fan. but a great time to be a nugget fan
i would have to agree seeing denver in the playoffs would be alot more fun to watch than dallas... then again i dont like dirk i think he is a little girl when it comes to post moves and he is very overrated for the little post moves he actually has.
W/ the West being the West, J Kidd ought to be averaging 3ple 2bles just so that Dallas can stay in the playoffs... and I mean Nets numbers, 17 pts, 10 rbs, 11 Assts
With Dallas losing their big guy, and with the remaining schedules of all three teams, I could see the Mavericks falling completely out the playoffs. The Nuggets should be able to catch the Mavericks for sure, I am not sure if they can catch the Warriors the way they have been playing. If the Nugs can take both games with Golden State they could pass them up, but I figure they will split, leaving the Nuggets at #8. Hard to imagine a team with 49 or 50 wins as the 8th seed.
Jmw10, quite hard and funny, ain't it? Sad that well below par teams will make it in the East. Nuggets and Warriors do have similar offensive play, however I think Warriors play better defense, especially when they need to snuff out a win. Classic example would be yesterday's game against Lakers.
Tonight is the big test for the Nuggets, If they can't beat a poor Memphis team on the road ( Nuggets have a losing record on the road ) the Mavs or Warriors won't have to worry to much. Let's not forget what Houston did when Yao went down, I guess we'll see what Kidd and Howard are really made of with Dirk out. Great win for the Warriors last night let's see if they can do it again...
