I heard on the Eastern Sports Preferential Network that the Pac-10 is tied with the Big East for teams making it to the Sweet 16. Correction, ESPN--the Pac-10 has 30% of its teams in the Sweet 16, whereas the Big East has 19% in. And the other two "super" conferences that ESPN touts incessantly, the ACC and SEC, each have 8% of their teams in the Sweet 16. I long for the day when somebody creates a western sports television network, and I won't have to listen to these eastern anal-ists babble on about their superior eastern athletics.

You are in luck. That day is already here........

West coast fans like you should watch Fox Sports. They are just as biased towards the Pac-10 as ESPN is towards the ACC or Big East. Jim Rome is a Pac-10 junkie too.

You should be happy there..

The Pac-10 is 2-1 against the Big East . That is what you should be bragging about.

Your 3rd best team beat our 3rd best team. (Wash St.)

Your 2nd best team beat our 6th best team. (Stanford)

Your 6th best team lost to out fifth best team (Arizona).

Just like the Big East going 7-1 in the first round is more impressive than the Pac-10 going 3-3.

I guess I should re-phrase it, hhhbs. The Pac-10 has three teams out, the Big East has five teams out--about four more than should've been there in the first place.

So who did those mighty Big East teams beat in the first round, Ville4, and where are they now? The Big East is almost as weak as the ACC and SEC--but at least those mini-majors have a shot at putting a team in the Final Four.

U-Dub...you have some very valid points for THIS years NCAA tourney.  Im no expert, but generally the ACC and Big East are very strong conference's, especially when it comes to Basketball.  I have to agree that this year the ACC has seemed a little weak, but do not forget which conference has the No. 1 overall seed in the tourney!!!!!!

Go Heels !!!!!!

You saying that is like me saying the PAC 10 should of then only had three teams in the tournament, UCLA, Stanford adn Wash State, b/c the other teams that made it  SUCKED. That is why they all lost in the First ROUND. And your BIG BAD PAC 10 teams barley beat a supposed weak Big East Team in Marquette and UCLA was losing the whole game. Get your head out of your ass.  The first round losses showed exactly how weak the PAC 10 is. Is it me, or does the BIG EAST have two team ranked over 7 or higher in the Sweet 16, WVU and VILLANOVA. But I guess that was lucky Beating Duke and Villanova got in b/c we played Siena. If anything, your post just show show weak your conference was with the exception of your top 3. This week, WASH ST will be anohter 100 point victim to the weak EAST.

Oh is that what you call it, mksmith, "crying" about the Pac-10? I thought it was crowing. But since you want to talk about Carolina, I give them a 50-50 chance against the Pac-10's third best team--only because they're playing a home game, more or less.
