well guys what do we think about this game? they are a tough team and put up a hell of a defense, barely giving up just over 80 points in the first two games of the tourney. it's nice to have ty lawson back and feeling really good about himself; and it's also good to see stephenson and thompson stepping it up, so now wash st. has to worry about them too and not just tyler, green, and ellington etc.. hopefully we'll have them running around with their hands full. i'm excited about this matchup, sucks though that i'll be at work but i've got that march madness on demand on the cpu so i'll get to watch the game.

I think that this game is going to be closer than the previous two, but by closer, I mean 15-20 or so, haha. Washington State is a good team, but provided the same Carolina team shows up that has for the past two games I think it's going to be a relatively easy UNC victory. Washington State has a good defense, but our press break and ability to run is at top form and our shooting has been amazing. As long as everyone stays healthy, we'll be into the Elite 8 where I'll think we'll be meeting up with #3 Louisville (a matchup we would've seen earlier in the year had they not lost to BYU in the Las Vegas Invitational.) In any sense, a win is a win and I'm feeling great about our chances!

so you think it'll be louisville huh i was thinkin tennessee myself but after the way they've been playin then you're probably right... either way neither of those two teams will be a breeze through victory i really don't see that happening. then in the final four there is kansas which is who i'm most worried about. but hold up i'm getting way too ahead of myself here and besides i made this thread about washington state. so i'm gonna stop talking now.

If we, CAROLINA, shoots 60+% against Washington State, they are TOAST! We'll make it to the final four. Dose not matter if it's Patino or U.T. If we play like we did today, "we're in like Flynn.."

I think Gregg Doyel (and I can't believe I am saying this) had a good article about Carolina on the Arkansas game outcome. He said that if the Heels team that has shown up the first two rounds shows up again and again, they have a great shot at winning the title. I agree with him. If the same Heels team shows up against Washington State it will be another Carolina victory. However, there has been "another" Heels team show up for games this year on occasion - the one that lost to Maryland and barely beat Virginia, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech. If that one shows up, it could be ugly. I think Roy has them firing on all cylinders though, and unless some guys have a relapse or just have terrible games, the Heels look primed to make it to the Elite Eight. Let's hope so. Wazzou will be tougher to score on, that I am pretty sure about though.
GO HEELS!

Yes, Wash. state plays great defense and may slow our fast break down a bit. But we do have a half court game that was developed during Lawson's injury. UNC loves running, we all know that. But what we love doing more is scoring and will do that any way we have to. We don't have to put up 100 points to win this game and we don't have to play as flawless as the last two games. I heard a Wash State fan say they(Wash St) don't crash the boards on offense and instead get back to protect the fast break. Thats good to know. I guess they don't want second chance points. In the eyes of Washing State fans it should be a good game. I'm just not seeing it. Good luck Washington Sate. GO HEELS! 92-75 UNC

This is the best UNC has looked all year long. Finally we are seeing the true potenial this team has. Full strength take no prisoners style!
Heels have kicked it into overdrive for a run to the championship. I'm amazed that EVERYONE has stepped up their game to another level.
It is truely an honor to be a Tar Heels fan right now!!

Well...Simply the pac-10 is the strongest conference and the ACC is NOT(it's pretty weak this year...Duke, Clemson, Maryland...look at these teams!! they are out on 1st , 2nd rounds and NIT) Keep that in mind that you've been fighting with these losers so far.
I understand that the ESPN loves your team better but the Cougar's STINGY defense will stop Heel's fast offense this time.
It should be fun to watch this game.

If any two of Green, Stepheson, or Thompson show up (like Stepheson and Thompson did against Arkansas) we'll be way too much to handle. And that will be the key to the game.
I can't imagine them scoring 70 points though, like some of you are predicting. I'm imagining primarily a half court game because they give up the offensive boards, and our second chance baskets making by far the largest difference. If our front court does well, we could win by more than 20... but they are an extremely prickly team to play.
As of this post the line was 7.5 / 110. That sounds about right to me.

It will be a classic match of offensive team vs. defensive team. The ESPN will give many reasons why UNC gonna beat WSU...but it's okay because we are so used to hear this crap from media. We won't be afraid of the UNC jersey.
WE BELIEVE!!!
Go Cougs!!!
