UNC is a tremendous team that can win by running or in a half-court game.  That being said, I wouldn't get too crazy if I were a Heels fan.  They should have dominated Washington State in what was a virtual home game for them.  WSU had to travel across the country to play a team with so much more talent it's ridiculous.  The real test will come this weekend against Louisville and in the Final Four when they are away from "home".

They should have dominated Washington State in what was a virtual home game for them.  What part of this game wasn't dominating?  You have to consider the slow pace in your analysis.  This was basically a 30 point win based on number of possessions.  If you adjust the score against the Heels normal pace, they would have been in the 78-84 point range.  I give credit to Wazu for slowing the game down but in the end, this was a dominant performance any way you look at.  If Surry Wood gets minutes, you know it wasn't close.

I don't think that will really matter hoosier. UNC has not lost a road game this year. The only 2 games they lost were at HOME. They are just the best team in the nation and if they keep playing this way noone will beat them.

I agree...WSU's low FG PCT (25% if you didn't count Aron Baynes close range shots) were not so much UNC's tough defense as it was flat-out poor Cougar shooting. I didn't feel that UNC dominated the Cougars. They don't appear to be a team that other remaining teams (Louisville, Wisconsin, Kansas, UCLA, etc.) would be in awe of - be afraid UNC fans, be very afraid.

Too bad UNC EARNED that home court advantage by being the best team in the country. If Wa State wanted home court adv or wanted to avoid playing the Heels then they should have won more games!

By the way, UNC's 2 losses were at home this year...We can't wait to have a few road games...San Antonio included!!

OMG PEOPLE! JUST BECAUSE UNC IS PLAYING CLOSE TO HOME, THAT DOEST MEAN WINS ARE GUARANTEED!

teams lose close to home, teams lose on their own home court.

no matter where the game was played, it was a 1 seed vs. a 4 seed trying to win one game.

Denver is the closest possible place they could/did play all tournament(not like it really mattered).....and I honestly wish they would have lost more games and had been given a 6 or a 7 seed so they wouldn't have been in line to play a 1 seed until a regional final game, instead of the regional semifinal.
