Just a poll I'm conducting on each team board... Trying to guage interest level.

Do the Bears want Brian Brohm in the first round?

Well, Bears biggest need is OT, and after that both QB and RB positions come in close second place.

In my opinion, Bears will draft one of this three guys in 1st round: Ryan Clady, Chris Williams or Jeff Otah, and if those guys are drafted before 14th pick, first option would be to trade down and second to draft either Rashard Mendenhall or Brian Brohm.

So, bottom line, Brohm is probably Bears 5th option for 14th pick, although, we don't really know what Jerry Angelo (GM) thinks about him.

If I were Bears GM, I would take OT with 14th pick, and then, if Brohm slips down, like Brady Quinn did last year, I would trade back in 1st round and take him, because I think he's the best QB prospect this year, and he'll be heck of a quarterback somewhere (hopefully Chicago).

This is a really tough question, because it's that same thing every year...Do you draft on NEED or Best Available Player...While yes we need BOTH a Tackle and a quarterback...but we do have Rex for one more year at least and the OT could help NOW with all aspects of the O. BUT is it possible that Brohm could be that all elusive franchise QB we have been waiting for forever?

The Bears still have a good D and my process would be to Draft the Best available tackle and hope for a QB in the 2nd round...I don't know if Brohm is the guy but we wouldn't  know for a few years anyway as qb's go... and by then we would need to start over on D. So Tackle is the the way to go even if Brohm is there at 14. Go Bears

At #14 Brian Brohm is neither a need nor will he be the best available player. If we trade down, things change of course. Seriously, QB and RB are not a close second to OL, they are a DISTANT second. We need to draft somebody who can IMMEDIATELY come in and help us win, and all of you Bears fans know that IF we draft Brian Brohm, he'll be holding a clipboard all season. A rookie running back will have a more feasible time being able to immediately contribute than a rookie QB, but we still need OT and OG help first and foremost.

I would rather wait and try to draft Colt Brennan in the fourth round. Don't waste a top pick on a QB. Trade down if possible. Build Picks. The Bears are good every other year. It's gonna be an up year. Trade down build picks.

I disagree slightly with Junkie. Brohm could start as long as he settles his contract early, and learns the basics of the system. I don't know much Brohm, but if he's the guy, I don't see any reason why he couldn't start. Rookie quarterbacks have started before.

The results of poll (so far) show why the Bears haven't had a franchise quarterback since Sid Luckman.

Exactly my point. Wouldn't the Bears just love to have that one shining moment where people weren't chanting for whomever the backup was?

Brian Brohm will not beat out Rex or Orton in a competition.  I do believe that Grossman can still be the franchise QB that we have been waiting for.  He just needs a little time to throw the ball and some recievers who can actually create separation. Unlike Berrian and Moose.  We still need a third QB in the mix though and I look for the Bears to draft one in the late third or fourth round.  Oh yeah, Colt Brennan is worse than Cade Mcnown.  I dont waste a pick on him anywhere in the draft.  This guy is in no way, an NFL quarterback.
