Kevin Porter delivered again for Michigan as they took down Clarkson, and Notre Dame continues to pull the upset as they beat Michigan State which cancels out the huge matchup that would have been Michigan V.S Michigan State. Oh well Notre Dame obviously deserves to be going to the frozen four with the way they are playing.
Does anybody else think this is the easiest rode to a championship game ever for a one seed in recent memory? They had to play a college hockey america team Niagra then they got to play an ECAC team Clarkson, and now they get to play a three seed in Notre Dame. I remember last year the Gophers had to play Air Force (who beat them the year before and went to O.T with Miami this year) and then second round they had to play North Dakota who should have been a one seed. Im not counting out Notre Dame already but on paper it seems like Michigan should handle the Irish.
How do you guys see this game going?

Notre Dame is a great hockey team, and I'm a Spartan fan, but I know Michigan will handle them! The Wolverines have the strongest hockey team this season and should win it all!! I loved last season with the crazy way MSU won it all!! I am bit disappointed that Notre Dame was able to beat MSU to face U of M. There's a few other good teams out there, like Boston College, North Dakota, Denver and Miami, but Michigan will beat Notre Dame and eventually win it all this year!!

I just take it one game at a time. Last year Michigan st. wasn't a great team and they were able to sneak out a couple wins and take home the championship. It doesn't matter how you get there but if you won or lost. Michigan might be the best team but they must not take Notre Dame lightly. I hope Michigan continues this special season and wins the whole thing.

I must agree that Michigan has had an easy road so far. The Irish will be a different team then they were in January when Michigan swept the weekend series. Jordan Pearce (ND Goalie) has been playing very well. If you remember last year, Michigan St had a hot goaltender at the right time as well. This should be a great game!!!

As a Notre Dame fan my heart will be with the gold but Michigan is a great club. I'm happy to see the Irish in the Frozen 4 for the first time and the only regional 4th seed to make it to the frozen 4. The sports commentators say that if the game had been played the day after the MSU game the Irish stood a better chance, they had the momentum. I say it's an Irish victory regardless. If I didn't believe anything else I shouldn't be a fan.

Notre Dame has played weel as on recent. But I think Michigan wins the game 5-1 or 5-2. The Wolverines have to much offensive power.

Michigan is a VERY GOOD team, and that is an understatement. As much as I love my Irish, I think that they will lose tonight, but they made a very good run and I am very proud of them. I say next year they can be National Champs.

Best of luck to both teams tonight. And to whichever team wins tonight, best of luck on Saturday. I can't get over Miami missing the Frozen Four (yet again), but seeing the championship stay in the CCHA would help.

I stayed up last night till 12:30 watching Notre Dame win in OT to go onto their first NCAA Title game appearance in Hockey. Up 3-0 in the first. Tied 3-3 in the third. Ahead 4-3 with 4 to go. Give up a bad goal with 4 to go. Win in OT 5 min in!!!
First #4 seed to go to the Frozen Four and now the first #4 seed to play for the NCAA Title!!!!
Steve Carlson who was one of the Hanson Brother's in the movie "Slapshot" kid goes and plays for ND! He was in the crowd last night in a old school lettermen's ND jacket like they wore in the movie "Rudy." He looks like Frankenstein though! Yikes.
