	The Jets should retire #28 Curtis Martin. Pro-Bowler, Rushing Champion and a great record setting running back.

	Off the top of my head my vote would go to Dennis Byrds' Jersey # 90. I know that he never finished his career , and my reason for voting to retire his jersey is that he gave the ultimate sacrifice, and ended up being paralyzed from a freak hit from one of his own fellow Jets payers. But I remember the feeling when this happened and how both teams realized how much bigger than the game this injury to one of our better players was. The entire stadium was completely quiet and the only sounds were the soft murmurings of the prayers from the players from both teams and the fans in the stands, it was one of those scary moments when you worry if this man will even survive initially. There have been many players hurt on the field very seriously, Darryl Stingly is the other great player who comes to mind, who along with Byrd was paralyzed for life. I just think that retiring his jersey would not only be for him ,but for all players whose careers have been ended because of one single play and the damage that ensued, the other great player would be Bo Jackson. It's just a thought of how quickly we can lose one of our great players forever because of one of these type of injuries and thats why I voted for Dennis Byrd, so we will always remember what it takes for these guys to go out every week and put it all on the line.

	I agree with both Martin, and Chrebet. Both of these guys had amazing careers with Jets. Martin had his 2 best seasons with the Jets in 01, and 04. Chrebet is my all time favorite Jet. He brought it every game, and unfortunately he paid the price for being so crazy. I still remember that one game against the Bears. We were in the 2 min drill, and we were driving against them. Chad throws it down the middle to Chrebet. He catches it, and heads right for 2 Bears safeties. He didn't go down, he tried to jump over these guys. He goes flying through the air, gets smashed. He fumbled the ball, and we lost the game, but it was one of the ballsiest things I have ever seen. We got into the playoffs later with a win over Green Bay, so it was all good in the end.
