They could not write an article about the NFL without mentioning "Spygate."
Look in the section titled "Also:" at the end.
You've got to be kidding me.
When you run out of things to write about, what's next?
Keep up the cheap shots.

Why was Spygate brought up at the end of the article? I can not believe it. This will never end.
This is not even football season, wait until the NFL Pre-Season starts Spygate will be brought up again over and over and every analyst will have his or her 2 cents on it.
Belichick not only cheated he has forever screwed up NFL sports news.

I didn't even have to look at your handle to know you're a Pats homer. Given that, I can understand why you wouldn't want Spygate mentioned.
But if Patsies' fans really want the book closed on the whole episode, then why don't you stop making excuses for it or asking people to forget about it? Instead, why don't you try to convince Belichick to fess up to cheating instead of his lame excuses about "misinterpreting the rules" or how he should have "asked for clarification" on the rule? BS. The rule was clear, the memo sent out to all teams prior to the season was clear, and Belichick's decision to show a complete lack of respect to the game, the league, the other teams in the league, and the fans is still clear.
As long as Belichick and the Patriots don't come clean about the whole affair, as long as Patsies' fans keep apologizing for cheating and whining about how unfair it is, that's how long people will keep writing about the topic.
Keep up the "cheat" shots, Patsies.

"They," assuming you mean CBS, didn't write anything here. This is a wire article. The way wire articles about the NFL work this time of year is that the services (probably the AP here), release a single article covering all of the day's news. This article focused on competition committee meeting, which was the big news of the day, then included bullets on some of the other goings on.

You dumb Pats fan, The reason it was even in the article was that the comish said something about it, they are reporting what is going on at the meetings, the comish saying something about it makes it news they have to report. Now then if you just admit your team is so low they had to cheat to win games then maybe you can come to grips with your little problem about spygate being mentioned in an article. Overcome your ego trip because all you are is a lame fan of the Pats who really does not give a flip that your team cheated and has caused dammage to the game of professional football. Grow up and smell the garbage your team really is.

....and every time an article mentions Spygate, there will invariably be a Pats fan starting a thread whining about how Spygate gets mentioned too much, and how everyone's out to get his team. Want some cries to go with that wamburger?

Its Goodell and the NFL's fault, you want clarity and finish, they should of done 1 of 2 things,
1. Not destroyed evidence (this is a no brainer)
2.Publicly displayed the evidence
Then this would of been over.
This has Rove, Bush cover up hush hush all over it.
Sorry Pats fans & Goodell this is like having your arm on fire and your trying to put it out by shaking your arm.
This will be a conversation that will dog Goodell & Belichicks legacy for years.

Well, we can all be assured of one thing. Ol' Belicheat's gonna be all over that Force Out rule day one. He'll have his boys trying to carry receivers out of bounds from mid-field.

What cheap shot? All they did was quote Goddell saying he would like to investigate the matter but was running out of patience. If anything he was critical of Spygate for how long it's taking to get to look at the evidence or lack thereof. The mere mention of Spygate isn't a cheap shot.
As much as Patriots fans hate it, Spygate is news. The Patriots were caught cheaing and no matter what anyone thinks about who else was cheating or the benefits of filming signals, the Patriots are the only team caught cheating and tdeliberately ignored the commissioner's repeated warnings and kept doing it. Now other accusations have come forward and instead of just taking Billichek at his word, like Goddell did in the first "investigation", now he's investigating it properly.
It would be irresponsible journalism to not report on Spygate. If your team is innocent then fine but the fans deserve to know the truth athen what's the problem?

Cheap moves get cheap shots, why do you think the national enquire has lasted so long? And the more patriot fans react just adds feul to the fire. Truth.
