duh... work those neck muscles.... moron.
To be the best, you gotta be the best. Crowning yourself paper champions already. Even if you made it in the WildCard, your pitching wouldn't get you to the World Series. Cleveland owns Detroit in Basketball (See 2007 playoffs), football (see OSU and Browns), baseball (see all of 2007 ... DOMINATION!!).
Oh yeah... by the way.... it's 1:36 AM and MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS!!!! Way to get rid of a great coach for the Tangerines .... err Wolverines. We'll miss him dearly... What was his name? Doesn't matter.

No one has mentioned that Edgar Renteria went 3-4 yesterday. He's one of our big additions. He's looking good. Also, Inge instead of Granderson. Wait for him to come back and the lineup will further improve. It's a slow start, nothing more. Don't give it two weeks, but at least wait one week before you dismiss this team.

If the Indians had lost to the Royals as badly as the Tigers have so far i'd me worried.
I'd like to have some of the Kool-aid that Tiger fans are drinking when they say the Royals have a good Rotation. HA! Must be laced with something good.
The first 2 games for the Tigers isn't about the Royals "Pitching Dominance" and more about the Tigers' offense not trying.
I have no problem saying that on paper the Tigers have the best lineup in baseball with or without Granderson.
If the cold weather is better for pitchers as mentioned in previous posts, why are the Tigers' pitchers doing so bad?

What are you talking about? Both Verlander and Kenny had good outings, except for one inning each. Rogers only gave up 2 runs, how is that "so bad"?
How can you say the offense is not trying. Your Indians better not get shut out once this season. What a moronic statement. The first game the tigers had 10 hits- How is that not trying? Again you have no clue, so shut up.
Only 2 games!!! My god, if that is what you Cleveland slappy's need to make yourself feel better, pathetic. Just worry about fatboy even staying in cleveland.
We tiger fans will worry if this continues into May, hell it did last year and the Tigers, before injuries, turned it around in May and led the central for a while. If those key injuries dont happen, you cleveland fans have nothing to celebrate.
As usual Ohio fans are completely clueless and make up sh** to feel better about their teams.
All I have to say is, there are 160 games left. And unlike you, I wont come gloating after every loss. It makes no sense when the min. most teams lose are 70+ games. You are going off on 2!!! You are PATHETIC!!!!!
GO TIGERS!!!!!!
P.S. How does losing two straight NC games by blowouts really feel?

If the Tigers had won both games, it wouldnt have meant much. If they had split, it wouldnt have meant much. Championships arent won in April and the Indians shouldnt start printing their playoff tickets quite yet. The Royals are looking good, which is good for the division and good for baseball. I am just looking forward to an exciting baseball season. Check on the Tigers in a month and see how they stand. Putting a stop to the Royals opening season streak today would be encouraging. There is nothing like the first win of the season at home.

Seriously I was suprised that Jim Leyland didnt have the boys ready coming out of spring training..
We already know Gary Sheffield is a notoriously slow starter and Leyland barely used him at all in spring. Gary not being ready was already forseen, but Polonco ? o for 10. that slump isnt going to last.
whos going to be delt to to get more talent in the bull pen?

Yeah, Sheff hit about .120 last April, though he did contribute a lot of walks and runs, plus some SBs. He then went on a tear in May-June. Had it not been for that second-half shoulder injury, he would have easily reached 30 HR/100 RBI. I'm not worried about him or Polanco. Or Maggs for that matter.
Cabrera may feel some pressure living up to that huge contract before he settles down. But Jacque Jones looks putrid. I think we'll see Thames in the lineup today.

After speaking to a number of Detroit Tiger Fans, they had wild predictions of as many as averaging 8 runs a game (nearly 1300 for the season).. Only one, JUST ONE, had the temerity of predicting a more reasonable offensive output of 5.75 runs a game,
Well, after the first series of the year, the Tiger's vaunted offense is now ripping up the AL (and, specifically the lowly KC Royals) to the tune of 1 2/3'rds runs a game or the massive total | |
