All people care about is money, isn't it?  It's ridiculous.

I am a KU fan, and I am really worried that Self might leave.  He seems like an honest, classy guy, and I believe what he says, I think, but I'm just going to have to see it for sure.  I'm still stung by Roy leaving, and trusting a coach again is hard.  I won't lie, I didn't even like Self at first.  He's adapted, though, and I've adapted to, and have come to embrace him as our storied program's coach.  I hope he has all he wants here.  KU is a place where he will be well-payed (not 3 to 4 million dollars well-payed, but not bad either), a place where he can recruit all the talent he wants, a place where he will always have the support of hundreds of thousands of fans, and a place where, on top of anything, he can win.  And he can win big here.

All in all, I'm nervous, but I guess we will just see what happens.

Three reasons why Self won't leave.

1. Okie State is at least 2 steps below Kansas as far as prestige.

2. He doesn't want to leave for another school in the same conference.

3. If he does go, he will officially have the "Larry Brown Syndrome" of a guy who is never satisfied where he is at.  It would be his 4th coaching job in the last 8 years.  I don't think he wants that stigma.

He has it made at KU and can stay there as long as he wants.  This is not like Roy leaving for Carolina.  It the UNC job never opened up, Williams would still be at KU.  I can't imagine Bill Self's "Dream job" being in Stillwater.  A middle of the road Big 12 team who gets to a Final Four once every 10-15 years, if they are lucky.

I guess we will find out if Self cares about winning or just wants money, the alumni at OK St will be coming hot and heavy with lots of $$$.  I hope he stays at KU, I believe he does have integrity, it would be a shame if he sold out.

Hey Rock Chalk, don't all you gayhawks liked getting it in the ass?  Maybe you should hire Danny Manning or Mark Turgeon and watch the program fall.  Props genius!

And Shawn JJ, we can tell by your spelling (it's paid not payed) where you gradutated from.

Go Heels!  Bounce the Chicken Hawks.

War Chase Daniel, J-Mack and the Tigers pounding Ressing and the fat man again next year!

Again another administration totally lacking class.  I have no qualms about  about osu contacting Bill Self, but the timing reminds me of another classless institution   Why can,t these schools wait until the team is out of the tournament  before they do their firing and start all this controversy when the most important weekend of the year is just days away.  unc was maybe my second favorite team ( due to their KU connection)  until they created the controversy in 2003 I lost all respect for Dean Smith when this happened in 2003.  Had unc waited until after the tournament it would have disappointing ,but understandable now osu is doing the same low class crap,  they could have waited until next tuesday to announce the firing of sean sutton and  not added this distraction on what should be a great final four just as unc did  in 2003.  By  the way I believe Bill Self will stay since going to okie state would be a step backwards.

Make no mistake class of 79, this is not an administration lacking class... Self even said he was not contacted by OSU... this is a CLASSLESS MEDIA!!!

I am so sick of media (especially local) trying to be "first" and creating controversy for their crummy few shares of the ratings... this isn't even ratings period and the idiots couldn't lay off enough to let Self have room to enjoy his first final four (and the hawks eventual championship) without adding this crap.

I am sick of it all... shame on them for even THINKING this is possible... Self will remain, Tubby Smith goes to OSU and KU will have another reason to never trust media again!

Ku is like Bill Selfs second school. He was made a VOLUNTARY assistant coach at kansas when he blew his knee out during the summer when he STILL played at Oklahoma State.  Ever since that season his dream job was having an office at K.U. as the head coach. This IS his dream job and if his dream job is to coach at OSU thats just stupid. OSU doesnt have the same background than UNC had when Roy took over there. It would be a move just for money and would be a classless move by Bill Self to even think about going there after winning the national championship here and building a better team than Roy EVER built in his 15 years with us.
