I am a huge Chad Johnson fan and I agree that last year he was blamed for the teams issues, I agree that the team is taking steps backwards (11-5 to 8-8 to 7-9) and his clock is running out and he wants to win, I also understand that he is frustrated because he is seemingly stuck in cincinnati. I live here so I see it and hear it everyday.
With that being said, going on every tv station and every radio show pouting is too much. This could have been handled in house if he would have just went to the front office and head coach and said this is how I feel BEFORE making it a media circus. I agree with everything he is saying, I feel where he is coming from and I want the best for him and the Bengals even though I am a Bills fan. Now that that is in the open, why wont the bengals move the guy. He is obviously frustrated, he is bringing negative attention to the city, Marvin Lewis and Mike Brown are trying to stand tough but it is making it a very unattracting situation to current and future free agents. Why should they come to a team where if they get thrown under the bus and want out there going to be kept out of spite. Cincy really needs to think this through, first off he is 30 and still has tremendous trade value. Y not make a move, call Philly get Lito Sheppard, call Detroit swap him out for Roy Williams, Call buffalo lol we give ya a first round pick at number 11 ha ha.. Minnesota has pieces that could help the bengals, Dont hold this guy just because he wants out... Its not a good situation, the fans are frustrated, the players are getting frustrated, and the focus isn't on the bengals next move, or how they will fare in the season, all the attention is focused on Marvin vs. Chad... that is not how you improve on a 7-9 record.
As far as Chris Henry, good riddens, he will sit this year like pacman, maybe next too.. but IF, i said IF, getting cut and being out of football for a year or 2 can wake him up and keep him out of trouble from here on I wouldn't be suprised to see a team not concerned with there image (Oakland, Dallas, ect.)take a shot on him in either 2009 or 2010. They will be getting a heck of a football player but they will be getting a lot of baggage.
