Allright, all you fans know by now that I respect you as fans and as a team. Why are all the other coaches and papers crying about the Tar Heels not being worthy of their wins because they have been playing in North Carolina? I think they are doing this because they knew that North Carolina would wip everybody else to begin with and that would give all the other teams a reason to whine. I am a Razorback fan and even I know that the Tar Heels deserve their recognition. Look, in the NCAA Tournament, it doesn't matter where you play, anything can happen. Thats why they call it MARCH MADNESS!
This sounds like some teams just can't take the fact that they got beat by a better team!
Let them cry. Doesn't bother me. They can bit** and moan all they want, it's not going to change a thing. It's not UNC's fault, either, so they can take up any grievances with the tournament committee. They are the ones who decided to have regionals in both Raleigh and Charlotte. They only thing the Tar Heels did was win a crap load of games.
It's just like all the other crap I've heard all season, like MANY (not all, just most) Memphis fans crying about how Carolina hasn't beaten anyone good..........
Or that Tyler sucks.........
Or that Roy is going to get "out-coached".........
Or that Carolina will get exposed..........
Or that d00k will beat Carolina in Cameron.........
The list goes on and on. Just shows what we have to deal with as fans of Carolina basketball. Everyone will cry because Carolina gets "all the calls and are a media wet-dream".
your a good man with a solid point. I also am sick of people saying we had such a huge atvantage over our opponents. Where is Texas,? They played in their home state and it didn't help them. We were undefeated on the road with our two loses happening at home. There is always a level of comfort when playing at home but when it comes down to it, we elevate our game on the road. I think UNC enjoys spanking teams in away gyms. Go Heels! Good luck next year Razorbacks!
I'm a lifelong UCLA fan. I agree with you. Don't worry about the whiners because you guys had a great season and were rewarded for that feat by playing those games near home. UCLA was also rewarded by playing in Anaheim/Phoenix. We true students of the game understand that.
The bottom line is if you play well and prove yourself on the court as UNC does most of the time, you should be rewarded. That's why the seeding process always favors the number 1's.
What people fail to admit is that it doesn't matter where UNC would have played you still would have ended up in San Antonio. To me UNC is one of the four best teams. Wtih a guy like Hansbrough who plays his guts out everytime he's in the game you can't go wrong. People are jealous because they all want a player like Hansbrough on their team.
What is true is that this is the best Final Four ever. Outside of Kentucky's absence we will see the historical cream of the crop in College Basketball play this week. Let's all just sit back and enjoy the greatest spectacle in American Sport. Let's give a collective thank you to all the teams who participated in the tourney this year and drop the negative pundantry. We owe it to all the players.
I am a Hog fan and I catch all of the media and no one is saying anything compared to what they are saying about NC> Truth is truth and I don't say it unless it is so.The media has been on Nc since their First big win at home. They will win! They deserve to win and that is that!
Great post. I totally agree with what you said. North Carolina, as well as UCLA, Kansas, and Memphis, have EARNED what they've received. This will be an amazing weekend for basketball. North Carolina versus Kansas, two sister programs that epitomize true basketball. Then UCLA versus Memphis, UCLA being such a dominant program throughout history, and Memphis, back on top after years of struggle. Man, it doesn't get any better than this, unless like you said, Kentucky were there. But they'll be back soon enough.

North Carolina earned the right to play in Raleigh and Charlotte. Any team that loses only two games in the ACC, wins the ACC regular season, and wins the ACC tournament deserves to play close to home as do all the other #1 seeds. Isn't it great that all the Final Four teams are playing their best basketball right now? This will be an amazing Final Four.
I am a Razorback fan but I do like NC's program as well. I just think it's hard to believe that one team can get so much crap just for playing great. I am not a fan of the media.They are Bias on the team they want to win and everybody else gets bad publicity. I have no doubt that the Tar Heels are the team to beat. They have great fans, coaches, and foremost , three of the best players in the country. Good luck Heels!

UNC lost two home games to inferior teams this year, if my memory serves me correctly. When they are on, they can win on the moon. Fan support helps in B-ball, but it does not effect the game as much as sports like football (audibles) or chess, LOL. Roy Williams is a future hall of fame coach that can win on any court, in any city and on any planet when his team can execute the game plan and has even half the talent and depth UNC brings to the table.

And even if those games weren't played in the state of North Carolina, there would still be no difference, We still would have won those games. That's because Roy Williams did a great job preparing the players in those 4 games.
Is that columbian or sensimilla your smokin'. They are 22-1 in the NCAA Tournament in games played in NC, sounds like homecourt advantage to me. The tourney should be about competion, fairness, and unbias. NC should get the first round in NC I have no prob with that as an award, then move their homeboy Mammasboy @ss to a neutral city. They got spoonfed like little biotches to the final 4.
