Most of the Year, it was either Kobe or Lebron will win the MVP. Now Lebron is slowly dying out the conversation. Chris Paul was always looked at as in 3rd place to win it but now he has officially took over LeBron James spot. The question is now who will win it between Kobe Bryant or CP3.

I mentioned back in February it was between Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul.  Obviously I still stand by that.

Furthermore .. it shouldn't even be a debate.  There's no denying that Chris Paul should be the MVP this season.  I could sit here and read to you endless positive statistics, a resume of charitable works, how the team wasn't picked to win anything, and how they're currently sitting atop of the western confrence .. but I've only been saying that all season.

Lakers+usc,

Its a close race between the 2, honestly I thought that Lebron and KG were out of the talks a few weeks ago, its clearly between CP3 and Kobe, I think a big factor that will determine the winner will be where the Lakers and Hornets finish, whoever gets the top spot in the west adds a lot of backing, it might even come down to the upcoming Lakers and Hornets game, both are deserving, of course I think its clear for us that Kobe will edge out CP3 but if anyone else had to get it, I'd be happy to see Chris Paul get it.

If the Hornets keep the number 1 seed, Chris Paul will win it.  Kobe's MVP award is about 3 years overdue, so it wouldn't shock me if they snubbed him, AGAIN!

If it were a lifetime achievement award we could spend an hour long halftime ceremony at Staples sucking up to Kobe Bryant and all of us holding hands and rejoicing his days of evolving from that guy wearing number 8 to the guy now wearing number 24.  Then we could listen to "Wind Beneath my Wings" and have a small roast all hosted by Jack Nicholson.

But if we want to give out an MVP for the 2007-08 season based on results and not "who's due" then we'll give it to Chris Paul.

Chris Paul deserves to be the MVP and everything, but Kobe Bryant got to win it.....he just got to. Seriously the guy has been the best player in the NBA the past 6 years and he still hasn't won a MVP yet....Better yet, he has never finished 2nd in the MVP voting that's ridiculous. He is the best player in the NBA and he has to win the MVP this year and nothing will change my mind.

Like Vic said, I think it will come down to the game the Lakers and Hornets play.

I think it will come down to the game the Lakers and Hornets play. Even still that shouldn't be a deterrent or deciding factor in the race.  Does Jason Richardson deserve the MVP because the Bobcats beat the Lakers?  No.  Of course not.  Would Kobe Bryant deserve it because the Lakers beat the Hornets?  No.  If the Lakers finish ahead of the Hornets people have a legitimate arguement and I will not disagree with the selection of Kobe Bryant for MVP.  But if things finish and stand as they are I don't see how you can't give
