Will everyone shut up about Lienarts pictures... christ the guy is young an has money and the looks let him do what he wants... when its time for football he will be there.. hes a guy and we should be praising him for being in a hot tob with sexy girls and drinking... I envy you Matt, don't worry about the press... heres to always chasing the ladies and getting drunk!!!!!!
No, I won't shut up about Leinart's pictures. Yeah, he is young and he's a guy, but he has a huge responsibility to himself, his team, the fans and his child. GROW UP!!
I think Matt Leinart would very well to emulate Young as much as humanly possible--STEVE Young, who, as a lefty, would be a good role model for Mr. Leinart in a lot of ways.
Steve Young spent a lot of years in Joe Montana's shadow, which he spent honing his craft as an NFL quarterback. Time well spent, I would say, as Mr. Young went on to have a successful QB career and was respected and effctive.
Personally, I am not a Steve Young groupie, but one has to give a man his props for a job well done. ARE YOU LISTENING, MR. LEINART?
Sumo we dont want to hear about your fantasies of Steve Young... now go away with your 49ers year books and you can do whatever you want with Steve Young.. but right now the straight men need to talk cuz well if you dont know Lienart is straight... so your input on anything he does means nothing cuz well face it if you had the chance you would do him
i dont have a problem with matt getting his groove on with a bunch of hot young chicks, but its the picture of him holding a beer bong while some college student is chugging it down...
there are 2 issues that cause this to actually be a story..
1. People in real life do get fired for having a picture of themselves doing something that would disgrace their company. Not just atheletes, but everyday people that work for the city, education, or a big business. If your caught having photos of you doing something that would disgrace your company, your boss can easily have you fired.
2. As much as the morons of the world are in denial about this, America is completely falling into a huge pit when it comes to drinking. College is no longer about getting an education, it's about having as much sex as possible and getting as s***faced drunk as possible. While your peers may be dissapointed if they find out your getting drunk all the time, if you go through college without getting hammered at least 3 times a month, everyone will look at your as some kind of uptight reject. This just give idiot highschoolers more reason to waste their lives passed out on the floor of some guys apartment...

How is a 25 year old guy, drinking at his own house with a bunch of hot college girls disgracing their company? He is acting like any other guy his age would if given the chance. Would you rather him go out clubbing (another popular social event for people in their 20's) instead?
It seems like people want their NFL players to become boring homebodies... wake up people!! no 25 year old guy with that kind of money and looks is going to sit at home playing yahtzee on weekend nights during the OFFSEASON!!! If this is going on from training camp through the end of the season that is an issue, but not if its the offseason...
On another note, I have no problem with what VY is doing and respect him for his decision to finish his degree now. Most college's do not count credits towards a degree once a certain time period has elapsed, so doing it while you are fresh out of school is the best method, especially if it is, once again, the OFFSEASON!
I object to two aspects of the Leinart photos.
1. (and the lesser) the stinking hypocrisy of the whole conversation.
2. Um, these girls are not hot.
I also think the premise of this article is wildly off base. Why are either of these guys being criticized for these choices? The articles asks, "Who is the worse team mate?" Why not, "To what degree do either of these situations actually impact the team?"
That is horrible. How can you give a guy shit for going back to school to get his degree in Texas and still making it back to Tennesee two or three days a week to work out over a guy who is partying and creating even more media attention to himself, even though he is coming to ota's everyday? You do realize these are optional right? Wow. Wow. I can't believe this.
