Im not gonna put this in blood or anything but heres what i think... the Jets have a 15-20% chance to take this divison but they need some help and heres why
1. Pats were awesome last year but now there just great there defense has either gotten older or left the team so they will lose game that way.
2. If we get McFadden , I say we let penningtion hold this team with a great o line and a defense that wont get killed he wont make too many mistakes and i still love him he is clutch and i think he can still do stuff.
3 I think that we have had best offseason out of afc east teams and are draft is looking good i think if we get hot and confident them maybe and just maybe we can do this.

As a life long Jets fan I feel that I can tell you how impossible it is, The Jets are like a colelge team compared to the Patriots. It will take a few more season of the Pats getting old and the Jets getting better before they'll be on a par with each other. The big challenge is the Jets getting better. Mangini has this year to prove he can do it. Another 4-12 and he will be fired. He's not a genius. Everyone has to get over that.

The pats success has never been about their defense, and thats what has gotten old. As long as the pats have that great O-line, Tom Brady, and now Randy Moss inked, that offense is going to continue to roll, and they will by more that 80% chance of taking the division. BUT the beauty about football above all other sports, is that anything can happen in any given year, and considering the Jets soft schedule, and the Pats tougher schedule, they can alway make a run at the division.
In terms of Chad vs Clemens. I think the Chad era is over. Either you are going to give Clemens a shot, or you need to draft a new QB this year. I think Clemens showed in Oregon that hes a solid QB, and just needed a line that can keep him on his feet for longer than David Carr in Texas. He now has that, give the man a shot. Under the piss poor line last year, Clemens did as well as Chad. Its all a matter of upside. Chad brings experience by a dying arm, Clemens brings youth talent and future. I think Clemens wins the battle there.

Good article .. But everyone has a different opinon and mine is slighty different on the QB Front i think clemens has no upside and he dosent make good decisons but on the other hand pennington is a winner and makes great decisons and this dying arm thing is bull he can hit a 50 yard pass easy.

Just to let you know, the Pats have a relatively easy schedule, although most of their hard games are on the road.
I think you should go with Kelley Clemens. He has a chance to develop into a great quarterback, whereas Pennington only has a few years until he retires.

I don't thing either Pennington, nor Clemens are the answer to our QB dilemma. This year, we are pretty much stuck with who we have. I believe Chad will edge out Clemens in the QB shootout, and he will be better behind this improved line. Who knows, Chad has always had a way of going against popular belief. Our major needs that we can take care of in the draft are CB, WR, DE(future replacement for Ellis), OLB (depth).

Anybody can win in any given year but i dont think its the Jets this year as far as the draft goes I've got one name for you
Gholston, the man is an absolute man beast, hes fast, hes mean, and he hits so hard he is going to be just like John Abraham was and make this line feared again

How can you say Clemens has no upside, this guy played last year with no line, 2 receivers that were hurt all year, and no tight end, we cant really say Baker is a great te. All teams did was focus on stopping the QB cause they new the Jets couldnt run. Clemens had 2 seconds every time he dropped back, not fair to say he has no upside, I love Pennington but you just arent going to cut it in the NFL with no arm.

The Pats success has never been about their defense ? ? ?
Where were you during our 3 super bowls ?
Last year was the first year where our success was about our offense rather than defense, and that switched itself around in the playoffs anyways.

your loyalty is only surpassed by your stupidity c'mon man pennington isn't worth dog doo he can't go deep and in todays game that is a must. look at the four teams in the conference championships only one team you could argue did not go deep on a consistant basis but the Chargers have the leagues best rushing attack. The Jets have sub-par passing and rushing offense at time they looked completely lost they still don't know who the QB is going to be. Two years ago was a fluke now the Man Genie is wishing for one himself. The fact is that The Jets are not going to compete with the NFLs elites next year and unless the Pats have a huge fall | |
