My choice for the Giants is Antonio Pierce.
I think it should be a linebacker. He is standing upright and is close enough to the line of scrimmage that he can call an audible if he has to.

"Sorry seatown, but the MLB is not the person who lines up the front 7 most of the time. "

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.  Who slaps the lineman on the butt to get him to adjust?  The LB's who is talking to the other LB's to get them into their correct position?  The LBs.  Safeties are 15-25 ft behind the line of scrimmage, so if you think a safety can tell the lineman where to line up you are a moron.  LB's are the Shortstops where as the safety is like the centerfielder.  They both are the play callers for there levels.  Safeties have the back four and LB"s have the front seven.  It's a given, you don't even have to know football to see who is adjusting the lineman.

Ouch, if Ken Hamlin calls your plays your defense is screwed.  That man gets beat deep all the time.  The man was hit in the head with a street sign, you know that had to create some brain damage.

Ravens I suppose it would be Ray Lewis, and the backup would probably be Ed Reed.

The two designated players can't be on the field at the same time.  If Ray Lewis is the guy, and Ed Reed is tha backup, then Ray and Ed can't be on the field at the same time.

That's not how it works.

Pretty sure they have helmets to switch in and out if a guy goes down.

For my Eagles, I'll go with Brian Dawkins. I would say the MLB but like some posters said, the potential for a loss of communication exists with the numerous collisions within the front seven.

For the Skins it would be London Fletcher and the backup would be HB Blades or Khary Campbell.
