Brewers bats are doin pretty good early. Kendall is a nice addition.

My question is where are Braun and Hardy. I know Braun broke out a bit today...but...?

Second question when does the power kick in?

It's been 5 games, things will even themselves out. Kendal is not going to stay this hot and Hardy will not stay this cold. Give them about a month before we start to see where this team really stands

I think its great that the crew is winning and two of there best hitters, (Fielder Braun) have a combined one homerun.  Just think what they will do when they start cranking it out of the park.  Has far as them hitting homeruns you know it is only a matter of time before they start lighting it up.

I heard that Hardy was all sick and he lost 15 lbs or something.  He's just getting back to full health.  I expect in a few weeks to see him hitting solid again.  Or at least, he better... or else...

Guys think of this as a blessing.  Kendall is better than Estrade no doubt, but he isn't going to keep hitting like this.  This will even out, JJ will start hitting, guys will slump and get hot, but right now we are winning games with hits with runners in scoring position.  The HR #'s will come, but its nice to see that our team speed is giving us a few runs too. (Hart yesterday scoring on a 40 ft grounder from 2nd.)  I think it is a example that this team is growing up right before our eyes.  This team is deadly offensively, as long as we continue to put the ball in play and put pressure on the Defense, this team has more speed and power combined than any team in MLB.

My question is where are Braun and Hardy. I know Braun broke out a bit today...but...?

Braun isn't the hottest guy in the league, but he is by no means struggling at the plate.  If Bill Hall continues to swing the bat as well as he is, Bruan's numbers will continue to jump.  As for Hardy, he's still recovering from his bacterial infection that led to a signifigant weight loss.  The spot in front of the pitcher also takes some getting used to.  I'm nowhere near concerned.

Second question when does the power kick in?

Well, the Brewers have hit "only" 5 homeruns in 5 games, but they are the second highest scoring offense in all of baseball at this point in the season and we'll most certainly take that.  Living and dying by the long ball like they did so much last year is the reason that they had such a horrid road record.  A lot of NL parks aren't nearly as "hitter friendly" as Miller Park and the Brewers must be able to manufacture runs with the long ball in those situations if they want to be a playoff team in 2008, and any year for that matter.

Its simply way too early to be expressing any of these concerns.  Especially when the team is winning.  And honestly I would be happy seeing guys swing for the fences less if they can produce more runs by playing small ball.  At times last year it seemed as if everyone was swnging for the fences and it was an all or nothing offense.  I think we should be happy with how the team has performed so far, maybe after the first 20 games we cna take a look and analyze areas of struggles, right now its too early to even address any fairly.

Citron made a good point by not relying on the long ball so much would help us on the road this year.  All in all, when the year is over we will still be in the top 5 in runs and Home Runs.

If I told you before the season started that after 6 gaves, Fielder would not have a home run and Hardy would be batting around .111, most would figure the Brewers to be .500 at best.  But off to a 5-1 start.  NICE!

The power is still in Prince Fielder's bat.  Looks to me like he is pressing too much, just like the end of last year, after he got 50 home runs, he made some comments to the media about hitting 51 and then didn't hit any.

Things will balance out.  The best offensive player on the team is Ryan Braun.  Just watch his swing.  Great eyes, quick bat.  This guy is a true gamer.  Reminds me of Paul Molitor.
