okay okay okay.  I claim to be no HGH know-it-all.  this is one crazy week and I've been running around like mad so I haven't been able to fully research the stuff, but what i do know is that it is banned by MLB.  Thus, that should be enough for the players to not take it.  Who took it in the past, what it does or doesn't do for you is alll irrelevant.  Any player under any type of MLB contract agrees to go by the bilaws of the MLB and not using HGH is one of those laws.

This is my last post on this topic.  I'm not arguing with fellow Braves fans any longer.  Obviously  this is a touchy subject and everyone has their own very strong opinion on it.

I think it's pretty clear we could all talk until we're blue in the face and we'll all hold the same position we had when we first posted on this thread.

BC10,

I don't think anyone has said that Schafer, or any other player who took HGH, is in the right. I have said that HGH most likely has no effect on performance, so Schafer's promise is probably genuine, though his ethics are in severe question. Danger has said that HGH has no effect, but Schafer is in the wrong because of the attempt. Obviously, Schafer broke the MLB rules, and is 100% in the wrong. I hope that I'm correct and the effect on his career will be minimal.
