LeBron has done to much for this team not to be able to come through for him.  It is time for his teammates to start pulling their weight.  This is a much better team (on paper) than last years Eastern Conference Champs.  So man up and help a brotha out!!!

They really aren't better, though. They traded for an aging overrated Ben Wallace, a supposed shooting threat who shoots 43% from the field(Wally Szczerbiak),  and a role player in Joe Smith. This team overachieved last year and have come back to earth the way I expected them to. Cleveland might go out in round 1, depending who they play.

Yeah, I don't think this team is better either.  They traded for a bunch of one-dimensional players.  Lebron is great and all, but I'm starting to wonder if there is ever going to be a group around him that wants to be a sideshow.  Perhaps giving the ball to Lebron and everybody else standing around isn't going to work.

I think the Cavs will miss Larry Hughes come playoff time.  Even though he struggled scoring, he did play tough defense...especially containing Chauncey Billups last year. If LeBron can't get healthy by the start of the playoffs they may be done in by the Wizards.  He has to be healthy for them to have a legit chance.

its time for their coach to devise a better gameplan that doesnt  revolve around lebron doing everything.

I agree, this team is not a better team than before. They traded decent players for average Joes (excuse the pun). They pretty much traded a player for another player without any benefit to the team. Lebron is the force that drives the team, he wills them to victory. And now that he's out, who's gonna carry the team on their back? It'll take more than one person cuz everyone else on the team is a role player, but now they can no longer just stand back and watch the King.

A couple of thoughts here.

1.  This trade is still a work in process.  It was more about having 24 million dollars in expriring contracts to dangle next year, and 34 million the year after, than it was about getting a player that puts you over the top.   Yes - I would have rather gotten Pau or Kidd or Devin Harris or or or, but we will have to wait and see what they can get over the summer or by the trade deadline instead.   Also, anyone that thinks we miss Danielle Marsha or Ghandi Newble is kidding themselves.  Larry was ok - not half of the player we were paying for, and Drew is Drew.   Somedays he's Karl Malone.  Most days, he's AWOL.

2.  Someone mentioned the coach needing to come up with a new plan that doesn't involve Lebron doing everything and everyone else just watching.

Yes.  But.

He doesn't have an effen clue how to run an offense.  Bubba Gump thinks if you play defense, they give you style points.  Besides, haven't you guys seen the monumental difference the new CSKA Moscow offense he installed this year is making?  It's a totally diferrent brand of basketball here in Cleveland.....

3.  Yes - the role players we do have need to step up.  The question is, can they?  I'm not so sure.

This probably isn't the Cavs year, but they have the ammunition to make some big waves for the next 2...
