If I was a phoney, plastic-banana, politician-type, I would'nt admit to all of you guys who are fans of other teams that i am a Tigers fan. Since I am none of those things, I will tell you the truth instead, which is that for all of us who are Tiger fans, the pain now begins. Actual results are going to give us a slow, gradual, increasingly awful suffering feeling as we realize, a day at a time, that the Tigers have no shot because DETROIT has essentially made baseball easier for other teams. The conversation about Cleveland and the so called AL Central "Race" will end around April 11th, as Detroit will be 1-8, and will not get back in it. Detroit, unfortunately will not get to go and lose in the playoffs because we will never have a chance to get there. Mets, Cubs, Reds, Rockies, and Padres fans will suffer the longest because they don't get the easy wins against the Tigers. The ones that get off easy this year are fans of chump teams like the Tigers who will know they are out by mid April, and by June they can go back to thinking they have a shot in the next Hockey or Football season.
