This is interesting.

Jackson is good but getting old.

Brandon Marshall

Darrell Jackson

Brandon Stokley

Samie Parker

Keary Colbert

I think that is a good group of WRs.

The Broncos are close to signing former Kansas City Chiefs receiver Samie Parker and are deep in discussions with Darrell Jackson, the former No. 1 pass-catching threat for the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers, according to multiple NFL sources.

Parker, 27, was the Chiefs' No. 2 receiver in 2005-06, averaging 38.5 catches and 547 yards. He and the Broncos could finalize an agreement today.

Lol what happened to building through the draft?

Don't get me wrong i would like both these signings but i would like to see us take a WR this year in either Manninham or Sweed

I like the lineup but if these pull through then something like this will happen, we trade up and then we take a wide out later in the draft instead of picking one up on the 2nd or at least thats what im thinking

I live in KC so unfortunately I hear about the Chiefs all the time.  There was always talk of how fast Sammie Parker is.  I know speed isn't all there is to being a good kick returner, but I bet he gets a look there in camp.

I like Parker he has all kinds of speed but he tends to drop to many passes. I do see that Parker could help out in the kick return game and add some nice depth the WR corp. I really like Jackson if he can get on the field, it seems to me that he's hurt or has other medical problems allot.

GO Broncos

I say we shouldnt pick up Samie Parker.  I have never been impressed with him and I dont think he would be muh of an upgrade.  I do like the idea of picking up Darrell Jackson though.  He has had some tough times with injuries over the last 2 years but he was a solid #1 before that.  If he stays healthy he could be a very strong #2.  If we sign both of these guys you can say bye bye to drafting a WR high.  We will will only keep 5 WRs on the roster most likely.

Nice Wr's actually. Parker is most likely coming for PR/KR. Jackson idk about but could have a good season left or two and if he doesn't then cut him and let a young guy try(draft/bennet).
I know this isnt the best set of Wr's in the league but it is really not that bad and it gives Cutler targets that have shown some stuff and i know he is no Brady but even he did not need the best Wr to make it happen a few years ago. If the D line gets it together and the Lbs come together like everyone is hoping then this team could be the underdog super bowl team.

I am surprised the Broncos are interested in Samie Parker. He does not just drop half the balls thrown to him, he runs poor routes, and could not return kicks. I would be interested to know what Broncos coaches see in him. He was cut by Chiefs, a team that really has almost nothing for WR except rookie Dwayne Bowe.

Having said that, he will probably be high lighted in the Superbowl ala Kawika Mitchell last season.

Agreed, Taxed. Samie Parker is not a good wide receiver. He is not even mediocre. He would be a slight upgrade over Glen Martinez.

Jackson, on the other hand, is an exciting prospect.

If these signings do take place and Denver adds another WR through the draft, how much 4-5 WR sets do you think they will run next year?

Please sign his sorry butt, this guy drops to man balls, scared of contact, he's the right type of player the Donkeys need!! I just know if Pollard or Page got a hit on his butt its will be career ending...But hey, it might just be the next Wes Welker, lol nah.......

Arrowhead816

You should worry more about keeping YOUR backfield together.  Unless that line improves alot, your QB will be on his back about every play.  And as for our WRs worry more about Marshall as long as there is no fast food trash on the field he will be hard to stop.

I think with the addition of so many WRs we will trade up for Dorsey or Ellis.  I had a dream last night that we drafted some no name OT in the first and all the sports writers said it was a good pickup.

"this guy drops to man balls,"

I thought that's how all you guys rolled in KC...

If you want to know anything about the Chiefs offensive line problems, he is the guy that knows. Where did you hear that he does not know about it?

TaxedMainer

I never said that he didn't know. I said he should worry more about that line than whether your DBs will layout Parker. Right now I could care less whether or not we get Parker because I would like to see the donkeys (as everyone likes to call them) draft a WR.
