Great to see the Rangers go down tonight just for the fans at MSG. What a classless act of cheering when Brodeur went down and was motionless for a few seconds. They cheered louder when he went down than when the Rangers scored. Bush league fans. Serenade and curse Marty all you want, that's part of the game. But cheering for an injury is sick. Hope those fans enjoy their trip home after the OT loss. Those fans are the reason why New York fans in general get a bad rap.

P.S. I posted this same message on one of the Ranger boards too. I couldn't believe how those animals acted. Justice was served tonight!

I totally agree.  When I first saw the collision, I immediately thought of Clint Malarchuk.  Really, the only thing you could see is Marty in a heap covering his head, then all the Ranger fans start jeering "Marty, Marty."  If I were a Ranger fan, I would be embarrassed.  What would they're reaction have been if Marty were worse off?  I honestly do not understand how so many people could have been applauding and cheering at that point.

You guys seem surprised by the reaction. I come to expect crap like that from Ranger fans. Literally, I know only ONE Ranger fan who isn't a classless sc*m-bag. I was at the game Friday night, I saw a Ranger fan SPIT on a Devil fan. You want to cheer, talk sh*t, act like a moron..... I have no problem with that. But spitting on someone?!?!?! You are clearly a J.O. if you spit on someone. Nothing someone says or does warrants getting spit on. But again, this is stuff I come to expect from all Ranger fans.

Quite a few years back, I, with several of my friends who are Devil fans decided to go to a Rangers game at the Garden.  We were the only fans in this section; we were cursed at and had all kinds of stuff thrown at us.  Fortunately that night we won 3-2 and MSG security showed up and advised us that they got tipped off that a large amount of angry Ranger fans looking to vent on any Devil fan they saw.  We were escorted out of the Garden through a service entrance due to the concern that we would have been severly beaten.  Pretty sad it had to be that way, but we were real happy at least security did their job and made sure we were ok.  This is something that would never happen in NJ.

I agree with all of what you guys are saying,no doubt the Garden crowd can be vicious.Even the Daily News called the crowd beasts. However Renney admitted that the Rangers like it that way.Who knows, you know what though? In the end the Devils showed heart and stopped the Rangers from returning the favor that the crowd wanted which was a sweep.Cant do it......though we did it to them and it still hurts.Lets Go Devils!!!
