It's amazing how many Cap fans are crawling out of the woodwork. It's odd, since the only time the Caps have ever sold out home games in the past ten years is when the visiting team's fans pack the house. Don't worry you bunch of band wagoners, old Alex O and crew will make a quick exit - remember, they only made the playoffs because they played crap teams down the stretch like Florida, Tampa Bay, and Atlanta. Give me a break - your team is a joke with with an over hyped, new-school Pavel Bure - well, although not quite in the same league.

Was that really necessary? I mean I understand what you mean about the band wagoners but, Ovechkin overrated? That is ridiculous, the guy had 65 goals. He is tough as well. Bottom line, we're in the playoffs and that is exciting, so stay on your own board.

I seriously don't get this Caps fans hatred. Every team will have bandwagoners come out when their team does real well, its just part of the sports landscape. And you know what? Everyone's gotta start somewhere. Maybe some of those "bandwagoners" see one of the greatest players of this generation in Ovechkin and become true blue fans. I'll admit most won't, but still, can you blame people for being excited about this team? You can bash the weak division all you want, I won't argue there, but you can't sit back and objectivly look at the situation and not give this team a ton of credit for hanging in there and making the playoffs in fashion that's never before been done in NHL history. Its flat out thrilling the way this team made a run to close the season, and people are allowed to be happy and excited because of it.
I agree with wkings. If you've got a problem with us Caps fans, fine, thats your perogative, but leave your biased opinions on someone else's board, and let us enjoy something your Sabres cant--the playoffs.

MGD I have been a Caps fan since I was 7 years old. thats over 30 years. Also Ovechkin is not overated. We arent going to make a quick exit either, we will spank the Flyers in Philly.

i don't owe anything to a sprot that i really don't care about. but if the caps are doing good, why not support them. they earned it. ill give them all the love they deserve. but i don't care about hockey so i can ride the wagon when ever i want.

I don't see Caps spanking anyone, will be tough LONG series. We proved we can handle Ovechkin and score on Huet. I see it going 7 and antbodys series right now. Flyers can control the game unless they do another about face like 3rd period game 1, which I don't think will happen again, HOPEFULLY!

Go back to your own boards and complain about not being able to resign guys who don't want to live in Buffalo. Best record in the NHL to missing the playoffs? Hell of a year for you guys in 07-08.
And did you come up with this Pavel Bure comparison before or after Ovie torched you guys in March? And since when does leading the NHL in points and goals make somebody over rated? Especially a 22 year old?
Have fun waiting for the Bills season to begin because there isn't anything else to root for in Buffalo right now.

I wouldn't get to worked up over a Philly fan trying to stir up problems. The fact he stopped by shows we are getting on his nerves. The reality is that the Caps have a very good chance in the series, as do the Flyers. Anyone who claims Ovie is not a good player is just running off. It is pretty doubtful they believe their own post, so don't spend too much time on it.

He isn't even a Philly fan. The one thing I have noticed on the boards is the DC and Philly fans are actually having logical debates and discussing hockey. The fools who start boards like this end up being...someone not currently in the playoffs....or on some other boards there are Pitt fans getting in on the action because they are so far up Crosby and Malkin they can't see the light with Ovie, and they naturally hate Philly.
