So what he is a great basketball player. That guy is a poison in the locker room. Tis was'nt his first and i bet you not his last run incident. he is the face of your franchise?? come on, and i doubt he dropped Mardy Collins . He threw a lil sissy cheap shot, then back peddelad faster than he plays defense. Even when he was on punked you could see what kind of an A-HOLE this guy was. I dont see hoe company's could have this guy endorse them. Look at what happen with Kobe they yanked all his emdorsements. Wont be long till Melo does something really wrong like plow over a couple kids while Drinking and driving, and then maybe the Companies and the Denver franchise will wake up and call a spade a spade.

Simply put who cares? Its basketball, the sport of hooligans and wanna be gangbangers. Runs a tie with the NFL for most overpaid selfish athletes in the world.  NBA has a new award this year. Who makes the most money while still screwing their team.

Wow wanna be gangbangers is that because about 80% of the league is black???

ITs funny everytime a black athlete is doing something its somehow an evil, but Brett Farve being addicted to perscription painkillers is somehow admirable. Thats BS Melo isn't a gangbanger.

I know half of you idiots on here berating have had too many drinks and drove home drunk. Should Melo have driven NO. was it a very stupid move yes, Does he seem to make horrible decisions yes. Does that make him a bad person NO

Melo was 19 when he came into the league, how does everyone expect him to be a man and mature immediately because hes a millionaire? Money doesn't create maturity in fact it can hamper it. These kids grow up with everything being handed to them because they are great basketball players, and then all of a sudden when they are drafted everyone expects them to handle themselves as adults. THEY ARE KIDS!!!!!

Most of us are in college during these years and are in an environment where most of our peers are making the same mistakes, but we aren't held to anywhere near the same scrutiny

Everyone who is successful is there because someone else was there to show them the way. Most of these kids don't have that people see them as dollar signs not people they love and care about. The NBA needs some sort of mentoring program or something with someone these kids will respect and to show them the ropes. A dress code won't fix this problem, but a culture change will.

I love when people try to play the race card and it blows up in their face. Who said anything about gangbangers being black. I have seen many other gangs composed of whites, mexicans, puerto ricans, russian, japanese, chinese, and pretty much every other ethnic group except maybe the Inuit in the northern hemisphere. Maybe it could be the posters lack of self esteem that you needs to project his defensiveness into his posts. Gangbangers is a lifestyle that these athletes have tried to incorporate into their lifestyles so that disadvantaged youths of all colors, creeds and religions will beg their parents to buy them the 150 dollar sneaker that they can't afford. hell, even if they can afford it, its ridiculous to pay that much for someones so called shoe. gangbanging is a lifestyle that many disadvantaged youths look up to as a way to get what they think they need. Has nothing to do with the way a person looks, but a way a person acts. As for your Brett favre analogy, thats a tired one. Favre came out, admitted it sought treatment and moved on. many other athletes, of all colors, try to hide behind claims of false test results, the I took a cold medicine defense, My doctor told me they were vitamins and pretty much any other ridiculous excuse under the sun. Who cares that "Melo" was 19 when he came out. Don't we all have some sort of job and have to act accordingly to rules governing that job as well as society rules. Oh boo hoo, the guy will make more in his 10 year career than probably 99.9% of the population will make in their lifetime. I'll take that problem anyday. Its called responsibity. You can't buy it, its either in you or its not.
