I was at the game Friday night.

And i cheered when Reyes bashed his head into

Chase Utley's knee. I booed when he got up.

I cheered and then booed because Reyes

is a Met. Nothing to do with race. The Mets fans

were yelling "F*uck you Pat Burrell" would have

cheered if Pat would have got hurt, and then booed

when he got back up. So big deal, its being a fan.

I was at the game he was booed if you think it's anything more than he's a met your an idiot. It was a hard play with another close call. I was also in the stands and saw a whole lot of classless met fans starting fights. I was walking with my 11 year old and his friend when three tough 18 to 20 year old met fans talk crap to an 11 year old cause he was wearing a Chase Utley jersey. of course they had nothing to say to any adults cause thier cowards

This thread is great. You Mets fans are hilarious. This is all part of the game. If Reyes became a Phillie we would eventually love him. We know that play wasn't life threatening. If reyes had to spend time on the DL that would be great. That's why we booed when he got up. It's really not that hard to understand.

I agree, it's all about being a fan, you pay for your ticket, you can choose whether to cheer or boo, I'm not denying anyone that right...and no one walked out of the stadium thinking anything else about Reyes getting hurt...it's a game, and what happens between the lines sometimes stirs passion, it doesn't say whether we're racist or classless...it's just the emotion of rooting for your team, and I think you can respect that Mo...because I'm sure at one time or another you've been at fault with your own emotions...seriously, admit it!

Hey like i said on the Mets bored..id be happy he was hurt, cuz he'd leave the game, but i wont be cheering and jeering.  Id say i hope they take his azz outta the game.  Just like im glad Rollins is on the DL, not cuz i wish him harm, but because you guys lose a spark plug.  We can all say we only wish he's hurt so he can leave the game, but to stand and cheer as he lay there not moving, thats crazy, if he had to leave on a stretcher because of a spinal cord injury you'd still cheer.

Personally i was slightly offended and if i was Reyes, id stay in the game and use that to make u fans pay when i get up at the plate.  Its just not a MORALE thing to do, so what you bought a ticket or ur a fan of ur team.  You still respect the game and the players..and booing a possible injured player is not classy nore are u respecting the game.

Ill put in simplier terms for you...those of you who have kids.  Your kid is laid out on the ground, and the fans of other team are yelling and cheering.  I bet ud be upset, but remember you did the same thing at philly, mets game.  Those that did it with ur lil ones right there...are worse.  Because you just taught ur kids to cheer when a player gets hurt.

You see im not saying ur story is false but..i cant see them picking on the lil kids with you right there.  Now i can see them picking on you..while the kids were with you, but why gang up on lil kids with one parent...gang up the parent and tell the kids dont listen to ur dad..that team sucks..etc etc.  Thats how REAL new yorkers would act.   I know there were Mets fans at these games and im sure u thought they were annoying, but has anyone ever wondered if they were pushed to a point where they became obnoxious and bullish?

I mean cmon..im not gonna believe a stadium of philly fans acted as Saints while the Mets fans were the bad guys.  Im sure there were sum drunk mets fans being stupid just like there were some drunk philly fans being stupid.  Sad part is, athletes who played for any philly team has stated how you the fans act.  I mean im sorry only real chance at any championship for u is in Hockey.  NY Fans are BRUTAL too, but you guys go way overboard.  You guys start throwing things at ur own ballplayers, boo santa claus, lol.  Who does that shyt, lol.   Now i understand why the 2 guys in my unit that were from philly were outcasts.

Santa Claus was a drunk ass that deserved to be booed that day, find out the facts on why he was booed, don't just assume it was because he was dressed up as
Santa Claus...that's what is wrong with everyone outside of Philly, you hear one story and then just run with it....Mo - you probably were 10 years old when that happened so please, try and use facts that you can validate to back up your story...on another note, back in HS I got whacked by a lineman and had to be carried out on a stretcher during the game with a concussion....I come to find out later that my older cousin, who was a couch on the other team, cheered and jumped up and down when I went down...not because he wanted me hurt, but I was the opposing QB and he wanted me out of the game....like I said, it's emotions...and I'm sure fans didn't just jump up and cheer wildly...ok, are we done with this subject?

Seriously, who's hotter right now? Wright or Utley?

Airmil no offense..but if ur cousin was jumping up and down while u were carted off on a stretcher...ur family doesnt like you very much.  What kind a country bumpkin shyt is that?  I cant believe you even posted that, but because u havent been an ass like a few others..i wont hold it against you.

Hey i just read a report, i could care less what it was about, i thought it was funny.  I mean you guys booed Mike Schmidt at EVERY plate appearance one year, lol.  By the way the Reds Commentator has named the Cubs as most obnoxious fans.

Honestly i dunno what Utley's stats look like, but other than hitting the Home runs during the serious what else did he do?  At one point Wright got to base 8 straight times against you.  2 walks and 6 hits.  You cant say that was the case with Utley.  I think Wright made a total of 4/5 outs that whole series.

So honestly speaking now..besides the 5 homers in 5 days..what is his batting average? How many RBI's does he have?  Because at one point Wright lead the NL in RBI's this past weekend.

After checking these stats...Utley is hotter right now.   If i were a pitcher right now..id prefer pitching to Wright...because Utley is on a long ball tear.  Doesnt bug me.. Better he does..the better one of my many fantasy team does.

I don't get this poll Moses, you talking about cheering, then your poll is about booing? Which is that we're going for here?

Secondly, I had relatives at that game and this was their interpretation. Most of the cheers you heard (which were pretty faint for a reason) were from....omg, Mets fans. He stole a base, remember?  Oh that's right, I forgot.  You don't follow the Mets (obviously since you never say anything about them except when it has to deal with the Phillies, you closest favorite team).  But there were boo's, no doubt about it.  But why?  Well, the same reason why Mets fans would be booing the instant a player didn't get up right away (you know they would) was because the manager, trainer, and player were taking too long on making a decision.  You're not supposed to take that long, that's why umpire's come out (and he did) to speed things along.  And it was taking a ridiculous amount of time to figure it out.  Either you're in or out, quit straddling the fence and make a damn decision already.  I don't sit at work all morning complaining I'm not feeling good (nor do I let any of my subordinates) but stay at work.  Either get to work or go home.

Lastly, since you obviously didn't watch the game (and it took you this long to post about it which is really amazing, then again not really since it's you Moses), fans were cheering after they all saw he was ok.  Well, not really cheering...clapping.  It's good to see he wasn't seriously injured.  Plus, your comment on Rollins...I bet you nobody really realized Rollins had left the game until the next half inning when someone was out there to substitute for him defensively.  If you remember, again I doubt you do, he stayed out on the field after hurting his ankle and ran home to score with it.

Just messing with you though about the time thing, you probably have some sort of social life outside of here....(that's a good thing, because many apparently don't .......no matter how weird and freakish it might be...can't imagine the social life of a supposed Mets fan who worships the Phillies).
