Leaving the game with 9 + mins left...Then booing their own team (fans that were left) in a GAME 6 with their TEAM playing again TOMORROW?!??

they are worse then fair weather fans they hate there own teams if they don't win. others cities might not always support there teams but when philly teams do poorly the fans turn on them. the fans left before the game was even close to being over. Great job for Alexander Ovechkin and the Capitals.

8=Victory, sorry your 4 game sweep of ECHL Ottawa has left you with nothing to do but hate on Ovie. The Caps have a huge game 7 tomorrow with Philly that the entire country will be watching. Win or lose, the Caps have done our town proud, and we'll still be their fans. My bet is that no one outside Western Pennsyltuckey and the providence of Ontario even has seen your team play since it layed down to Philly on NBC.

You gotta be kidding me...If you know anything about Philly Hockey, they jacked up all the prices, so you got all corporate people going to games, and I don't think they wear mullets ;) One thing you need to know about Philly Phans, We are Passionate about our teams. We win we cheer, we lose we boo...We booed Santa Claus remember? you have absolutely no clue lockness... of course your talking trash now that your team has won 2 straight games but calling philly fans' mullets?? that just shows that you have just as much class as your cheap shot caps with their diving forwards and diving goalies (i have never seen more goalie interference calls in a series in my life) but just remember game 2 at washington when the Flyers had just tied the series at 1 to 1..... you could hear a pin drop in that building... and in game 1 there were almost as many flyers fans as there were cap fans there....... lol and you wanna talk about booing???? woopity doo, "alexander the great" scored 2 goals finally after 6 games and acts like he's the cats pajamas. yet from the first minute of the first game, you "uppity" talk crap when youre ahead washington fan's were booing briere because your still bitter about a hit he made for BUFFALO 2 yrs ago. im glad that game 7 is in washington because i honestly hope youre a REAL fan and you go to the game and watch your one-man team, with a goalie who's been standing on his head for 6 games and a team that barely made the playoffs lose and then we'll see if youre still on here calling philly fans "mullet haired". If we are going to go back to talking about the fans....then i just have one argument.
If we turn our backs on our teams then how come we almost always finish in the top 5 in attendance compared to the Capitals that hover around 25th....

You have a point in that the Capitals will be worn after this long series, however I don't think you can call Alex Ovechkin overrated. He appears to have one of the most wicked shots in the game. He has high talent and shows so much excitement on the ice. A true joy to watch. He makes non-hockey fans appreciate the game. Sidney Crosby is quite the job, I must say. His skills are quite amazing, but this is about Ovie. Next time you see and witness a player with that much play-hard mentality ring me up. Next time you see and witness a player score over 25% of his team's goals on the way to a Division title and NOT win the Hart trophy, ring me up. Overrated? Please - Ovechkin will most likely haunt teams for years to come as long as he can stay healthy. Don't you ever rat on Ovechkin thinking he doesn't deserve the credit he gets.

It's interesting that after all the talk about the Caps having to rely on a one man wrecking crew in Alex Ovechkin, the real one man show thus far has been Briere, who with 6 goals thus far has been the stud of the series.
There was more talk about all the 20-goal scorers on the Flyers and how they really spread it around, but when you break it down in this series, the Caps have more goal scorers (10-9) and as many assist men (13-13) as the Flyers do. They also have 5 players (Semin, Green, Ovechkin, Backstrom & Laich) with 5+ points thus far to Philly's 4 (Briere, Prospal, Richards & Knuble).
The Flyers have outscored the Caps 20-18 and the Caps have a 32-31 advantage in total assists. All in all, these teams seem to match up pretty evenly.
None of it really means anything at this point, but hell, ya gotta talk about something until the puck drops tomorrow night.

Philedelphia could win the Cup, World Series, Lombardi Trophy, and the Sixers could walk with the Larry O'Brien Trophy for 10 straight years and their fans would still be miserable jerks.
even if we (the Caps) lose game 7, ill always hold on to my glorious memory of "fans" walking up the ramps to the exits with 9 minutes left in the 3rd. So far, thats my 08 Stanley Cup playoffs moment

I don't know where people are getting that the Verizon Center has been 50% full of Philthydelphia fans. I was there and not more than 5% were wearing halloween colors.

No your wrong we wouldnt be miserable. Sorry were passionate and haven't won it in 25 years. In the 70's and 80's when we sent teams to the title games all the time and were winning no one called our fans miserable at all.
