I was surprised to see a U of De QB so highly touted.  On the other hand, that school has been GREAT forever.  Obviously Rich Gannon- Raiders , Vikings , Chiefs,  is the 'favorite son' but I was disappointed that the Eagles didn't give Andy Hall a better look.  So the truth is, I don't know much about Flacco.  I DO know their system, which has mostly been maintained since Tubby Raymond retired.  Anybody have any useful comments about this guy?

Flacco reminds me alot of roethlisberger, big, tall and strong arm. Nice touch on his passes and has a good command of the field. Reads defenses pretty well. I think he will make someone a strong Q.B. in the late first or early second round. If he could find a system where he could sit for a year like Seahawks, Eagles, Tampa bay, or Texans, he could be a star come 2010.

Raymond ran the wing T offense.  He actually created most of it.  K.C. Keeler runs more of a spread offense operating mainly out of shotgun.  You don't seem to know the system that well.  But Flacco is the real deal.

Most importantly the guys got spunk! He'll be a fan favorite for sure plus he's pretty accurate and is more mobile than he looks he might be the best Qb in the class! Deffinantly the biggest steal.

I would be a little nervous about taking him early. He left Pitt because he didn't want to compete against Tyler Palko for the starting position.

well Palko was already the guy at Pitt and Flacco was the young gun I dont blame him going somewhere to be the guy himself. Not too mention it is possible to figure things out later on in your career which I think he did...in a nice system too.
