i say we let it play out in the nfl  as to who is better. i like b.brohm over m. ryan personaly, but that is jmo. they both may be good then again, they both may suck in the nfl. what one has done on the collage level is different from they have to do in the pro's. just like collage is a bigger step up from highschool, you have higher levels of talent. when you move up to the next level, what you did at the lower level means squat.in this day and age of the nfl, you just can't throw a qb  in a game and expect them to be top notch. the only qb i can think of that played his whole rookie year as the starter is Peyton Manning. who just like brohm was groomed by his father to be a nfl qb. so lets not judge them just yet..

Rarely will a rookie QB,wherever he's drafted,be the player to make your team go from 4-12 to 12-4. Brady or Manning won't help without supporting players. Ryan's play against Va Tech was impressive while a new coach and system could've skewed Brohm's last season. Neither has the mobility to win 1 or 2 games on their own. Don't get upset if your team takes one of these guys early and their play is average. That record wasn't just QB performance, was it?

Any argument about QBs this year is moot. The bottom line is that there may be some capable starters that will come out of this draft, but more likely than not, none of these guys is going to be a franchise QB. They all have some really good points and they all have some serious flaws, but unless someone really make dramatic improvements in their overall game, nobody, not Brohm, not Ryan, not Henne, will be more than a solid starter.

Get off this ACC is great and Big East sucks thing.

Brohm handled Miami and Wake Forest in 06-07 and had better numbers than Ryan against NC State in 07 without Harry Douglas.

Matt Ryan stunk it up for 3 1/2 quarters the first time he played VT and made plays when VT sat back in a prevent and let him run around all day. What happened when they played the second time? Zero second half points for BC and 0 TDs and 2 INTs for Ryan. Whoopie.

As far as the excuse that Ryan has played in a worse offense, Brohm played in a new offense in 07 and still put up his best numbers ever. The OC was actually let go b/c of bad play calling.

Trying to justify all those INTs as a positive is just ridiculous. Knowing that throwing the ball away is better than taking unnecessary risks is a trait of a good NFL QB.

The arm strength thing is also a joke. Brohm can make all the throws. Having a "big arm" has been one of the most overrated traits in NFL QBs.

he plays against teams like Virginia, and Virginia Tech and Miami. some might say that Miami sucked, well their defense didn't, their offense sucked this last year. Bhrom doesn't play anyone"

I suppose thrashing Miami , and leading the would be game winning drive against them as a freshman at Miami when they were ranked number 3 (before a dropped game winning interception) and beating Wake Forest in the Orange Bowl doesn't count?

After hearing and reading repeatedly about Pete's "mancrush" on Byron Leftwich and how he won't let it go....I feel sorry for Brian Brohm......

Matt Ryan is going to be a bust. Michigan State made him look horrible. Bad sign. Brohm is going to be a bust. He was babied his whole college carreer having two brothers as coaches and daddy at all the practices.

Of all the QB's in this draft Henne has the best tools and chance to make it as a starter in the NFL.

For once I agree with Prisco, Brohm does remind me of Jim Kelly, a quarterback that will never win a championship!

I'm sure Prisco is shaking in his boots over what you and your 50 different log-on names thinks.
