Who would you take if you were Miami?

Good to see Brandon Flowers out of Tech finally getting some love. Definetly the best CB in the draft, when you take a look at the other corners. Rodgers-Cromartie plays for Tennessee State, (I-AA). Aqib Talib from Kansas had a fluke year with a solid win against Tech im not gonna lie. Flowers completely shut down Early Doucet against LSU this year, and has been on a completely different level of competition the last few years.

GOOD LUCK B-FLOWERS

I stall say that Miami should take McFadden #1. He is the best available player in the draft. I know they already have a guy they think can run the ball. But everyone else has some question marks in their game.

And hey... they need a QB, and WR also. Guess what? McFadden is versatile enough to play some at these positions also. He could be a #4 receiver and #3 QB on the team. That eliminates 2 position players they have to carry on their roster. Which means he can take a look at some lower or undrafted guys.

And, being in Dallas, I know how much Parcells likes to move around the bottom of his roster. And he loves players that can play multiple positions. And he loves the 2 back system.

I think Parcells will take Jake Long if he's not won over by Gholston.  In both players he will see the defensive play making LB he had in Lawrence Taylor.

My concern (not really a concern as I am a Patriots fan and really hope it will happen) is that Parcells will leave the team before the job is done, again.

The guy likes building a team.  He doesn't seem to like trying to keep one together.

As much as I think it would be in Miami's best interests to trade down, I don't think that will be an option.  This is a 'flat draft'... there's not that much of a talent difference between the top 5-6 players available.  I don't think anyone will give up what a #1 pick would cost to get any one specific player in this particular draft.

If it were me, I'd go for Chris Long.  Let's face it, Miami needs several things, so 'need' is pretty subjective.  C. Long seems to me like he has the lowest bust potential out of the group, and if I'm paying #1 money while in serious rebuilding mode, I want to get as close as possible to a sure thing.  Let the guys with picks 4-8 go for the high-risk/high-reward guys.

Um..... aren't you forgetting someone VaTech4Ever. Leodis McKelvin is the best CB in the draft. Hands down.

I would take Jake long #1, and the take Chad Henne wit the first pick in round 2. They both trust each other, and know each other. Then just give the ball to Ronnie Brown, and tell him to follow behind Long.

So you would take Leodis McKelvin with the number one pick?  He might be the best CB in the draft (another thread topic), but he is not worthy of the #1 pick.  I am not sure he is even a Top 10 pick, but Top 5 is not even realistic in my book.
