But to say Allen is basically the Vikings 1st round pick this year is also wrong. What Allen basically is to the vikes is a free agent that cost them 70 million and 3 1st day picks, pretty pricy free agent in my opinion. But as most of the sports talk shows have been saying this wasn't a great move by KC and had more to do with Peterson and Allen not liking each other personally.

Haven't seen too many 17th picks get 74 million and 31 guranteed and cost 2 3rd rounders as well, so quit saying he's your 17th pick because he's much much more to the franchise then a 17th pick.

Look at the Patriots.... from last year  their defense let them down in the super bowl....

as far as minn qb.......  hand the freaking ball off and get out of the way............  I would pass only when teams showed they could stop the run......

They do play the Packers twice  (just lost a HOF qb) Bears (if grossman is there at qb there is another w) and the Lions........  the freaking lions.........   how many games did they win after that hot start......  weak division....  maybe they are the favorites who knows.....

The Vikings will win no more than 6 games this year.

Spanky......the Vikes won 8 games last year (lost the last two games of the season). So now that they have only ADDED pieces to the puzzle, and after the young players now have some playing time under their belts .....you're saying they will drop off at least 2 games, maybe more?? How do you figure?? We didn't lose much at all and actually gained some talent at key positions from last season......I'd be willing to bet anything they win at least 8 games next year, maybe more like 10-12 wins IMO.

athe Vikings are flat out stupid, first a few years back they gave the world to dallas for Hershel, now they give up what ammounts to 3 starters for a player 1 strike from being banned a year and gave him 31 million  in guaranteed money, so he gets paid even if he gets suspended, look aout bars Mr Allen is on his way to bow some big bucks.  This has to be the worst trade since Ditka gave up and entire draft to get Williams. Hope all you Viking fans posting this remember your posts when he gets suspended for a year and screws your team. This is not the missing piece of the puzzle to get in the SB.  This is a very very dumb move.
