	With Gholston to Chiefs looking like a real possibility. Maybe that will induce a possible trade with the Jets or Pats, or anyone else high on Gholston. Then we won't have to reach for Clady or Albert, and possibly get a CB with the 17th, and get another pick... Or maybe I'm thinking too hard????

	I guess we won't know if this was good or bad for a few years. What this does mean to me is that we don't plan on being competitive this year. We plan on developing a young team for 2009 and 2010 when we think we can start to make a run. Thats sad. I just don't know if going "young" is all its cracked up to be. Are the Patriots getting "young"? I think they just get talent despite the age. Either way, I'd like to see Long and Albert drafted in the 1st round. We'd be looking better if those 2 could be starters.

	I do not like the idea of taking Gholston @ #5... I'd rather we took C. Long (if available) or G. Dorsey. (if available) It does stink losing Allen.... but we don't know if this is a bad thing yet... it will be years before we know if this is a total screw up or we totally got away with one here... As many picks as we have, the potential for this team is becoming outrageous, seriously... we have two drafts in one this year!

	13 picks!!! The oldest team to the youngest team in one year!! That's amazing...6 picks have to be starters, seriously we could address almost every need in this draft alone and dont forget the UFA's!!! OMG...Jared Allen blessed us with sacks and entertainment and also gave us 3 picks for his ability. Seriously if I was a rookie, I would want to play for the Chiefs, because I could compete to getting a starting job vs. playing behind a veteran almost out the door.

	Getting Albert and Long is not going to be an option. We will have to choose one or the other. I don't see anyway that Branden Albert would be there at #17. IMO the number one glaring weakness on this team is the offensive line(NO news flash there) which should be addressed early and often in this draft. After that, I feel that CB, WR and D line in that order are problem areas as well. Jared Allen was a fourth round pick, so there is talent to be had in the middle rounds if Carl and Herm along with the scouts have done their homework. I have a feeling that a 6-10 season may be a little bit of a stretch for next season. They are doing it the right way though. Rebuilding through the draft and not throwing ridiculous cash at free agent. Ask the NY Jets how that is going to work after their shopping spree this off season. It has been a while since I have been looking forward to a Chiefs draft as much as this one. I hope I am not disappointed.

	This trade is only as good as the draft picks made. I think it is safe to say that no one has confidence in Carl or Herm. I haven't like why Carl has been signing players. Can they draft good players? They have two first round picks. Who should they pick. I'll be watching to see if draft day is a bust.

	the only way the Chiefs will ever turn the team around is if they get rid of Carl. What people dont understand is that, yes we will get some young talent, but by the time these young guys are good enough to put together a playoff run they will want to leave... Carl will f*** it up. just like he does everything else. Otherwise I think the Chiefs got a good deal.

	what every one on this board is failing to mention is that regardless how good our draft is this year the only way the Chiefs will ever be contenders is if they get rid of Carl. By the time all of these young players are good enough to put together a playoff run they will want out of KC. Carl will manage to f*** it up like he always does. Success starts at the top.

	I'm VERY optimistic about this draft. Its an unbelievable opportunity for the Chiefs. They've drafted well over the past two years and I now have a ton of confidence in Herm and Bill Kuharich.
