Most overrated team coming into the season?

Actually, they have lived up to the expectations every year except 2006 when they were favored to win the title.

Some the OSU haters forget that in 2007 Michigan was placed Higher in pre-season polls than the OSU...A degree of disappointment ought to be measured by the degree of the failure.. say like Cal's disappointment after beating Oregon and poised to go to #1, only to lose at home to Oregon State and finish in the middle of the PAC 10!!

Some have high expectations for Alabama, but really if they make it to a BOWL in 2008 that would not be disappointing!

My suggestion is for a few to lay off the "Haterade"

Since I dont pony up for the Big10 network and I couldnt stand to watch that scrum called "the game" all I know about VG is what I saw ..or didnt see on the field on 1-8-8 He was NOT impressive but that was only one minor game.

Fortunately, since I am a moron, I will let the experts decide if he is any good and worthy of being drafted. All I know is what I saw and that did not live up to the pre game hype.

I was on the lookout for him to do some defensive damage but I spent most of the night watching LSU score.

Since I cannot seem to find the defensive stats, xactly how many tackles did he have on that night beside the one sack?

Georgia is the most overrated team coming into this year. I like the way the program is going, but they are just one of those programs who cant get over the hump. People tend to remember the Hawii game but forget about the Gamecocks and Volenteers. Remember Georiga didnt even win the SEC East last year. I think Georgia is a year away.

But I have to call USC as being the most overrated team going into the year. Question marks everywhere.

What team doesnt have question marks? I dont see how USC can be overrated when we produce every year. SC does have some big shoes to fill, but Pete has proven he knows ho to coach talent and that is what SC is loaded with. Expect more from SC this year than last.

Kansas. 

Since 2003, they are a combined 35-25.  Combine the record with weak OOC schedules.  Case closed.

Well thank you canjun, I searched the web to no avail. Ok, as I have readily admitted I was not a resident expert on the prowess of one Vern Ghoulston. Yes, I had heard all the hype associated with a big game and facing the # 1 defense in all the land. I had been told for weeks that LSU had never seen a defense like the one we would soon encounter.

Was I sca....er......was I  nervou.....no let's just say I was "anxious" at this fierce defense. We had played a bit of decent defense ourselves during the year so I know how disruptive great players could be. Therefore, I focused on the two "star" players.  Again, I jsut didnt see anything that impressed me and now that we know he had 2 solo tackles and 1 assisted tackle  you can see why.

I do know that the other "star player", James Larinitis had a bang up game with 18 or so tackles and that he worked his behind off till the bitter end. Unfortunaltely, his 18 tackles were all were all in the secondary.

 Again, I will leave VG  pro prospects up to the professionals.

. i will bet any of you that osu beats usc by 10 or more points.

Wow Ill take that bet anyday. No one will come to the Colisium and beat the Trojans by more than one score. Ohio st wont even win this game to much explosivness.
