To refer to his prediction about Francisco Cordero struggling as being correct is a bit misleading - he so far has a 1-0 record with 2 saves in 2 opportunities.  Cordero has given up 1 run in 8 innings for a 1.15 ERA.  I would agree that you would hope for more saves, but he isn't blowing them - he is 100% so far.  The team has to begin putting themselves in a position to win for him to have a save opportunity.

Given the Reds' bullpen woes over the past few years, it was a great signing to get Cordero from the Brewers.  If the Reds start to hit and the middle relief can get them to the late innings with a lead, there is no reason to assume anything other than that Cordero will be worth every penny.

Yea i was really surprised when i saw this article about Francisco Cordero struggling.  I thought he's been pitching great for the reds when they give him the chance to get a save, which has been pretty rare.

Well, it's just a case of the columnist not actually watching any reds games, but thinking he knows everything about them. He's right on about Corey Patterson, but was way off with Cordero and Votto.

This guy who wrote this doesnt have a damn idea about what he is talking about. Cordero has looked awesome if you ask me. He just needs to be put into positions where he can win... we arent hitting the ball at all and when we have Bronson Arroyo who is suppose to be our number 2 with a 5+ era, its going to be tough to get many wins...

Cordero and volquez are the 2 of the greatest, youngest players we have in this team. Period.

Go Reds!

Yeah, your forgetting a guy by the name of Votto aslo. Oh and don't forget Hopper, He's not playing everyday, but he's solid and very underrated. He should be our lead-off hitter
