3. Ryan Clady - He might be great, but he's way too risky for this spot. He came out a year early AND played weak competition.
2. Vernon Gholston - Vern's a muscled-up DE who's never ever forced a fumble. Ever. Not even one time.
1.Matt Ryan - I hear he has a great "personality," but it's a no-no for the Chiefs to take a QB this high and sign a huge contract. The O-Line needs to be stabilized or he's a dead man with guaranteed money.

Ryan Clady played in the Zone Blocking scheme implemented by teams like the Patriots, Raiders, and Broncos. I dont think he would be a good fit for many teams.
Vernon Gholston could be the next Mike Mamula, but injuries dereailed his career. The one thing I dont like about Gholston is he is inconsistent. DEs who show up against weak competition, then in the NC game just completely dissapear.
Matt Ryan, Ive watched every single game he has played in since he first was recruited by Boston College. He has outstanding leadership qualities, something your QBs could use, and usually finds a way to get it done. Reminds me of Brett Farve. He can also get it done with a piss poor supporting cast. IMO he should be the Chiefs pick, I am a Raiders fan but I beleive in years to come it will come down to JaMarcus Russell vrs Matt Ryan for the division every year. With of course Russell winning it, every time .

If we do pick Matt Ryan, and what you are saying is true THE ANSWER 50, that will be awesome. The Raiders and Chiefs will rule the AFC West and the Broncos and Chargers can suck for however long we want them to. WOO HOO!! It would be JaMarcus Russell vs Dwayne Bowe and Matt Ryan! The Raiders can not compete against that!
Chiefs..
This coming from a Raiders Fan enforces my hopes that we don't pick Matt Ryan! LOL!!

you better hope jmac can get down to fightin shape, or he wont break camp with the starters position........ryan would be a mistake for the Chiefs, because NO rookie QB can help this team. we need o-line help...NOW!
as far as clady goes, i think he will work out, but it looks like brandon albert will be the pick.
jus sayin'....
iho....

If the Kansas City Chiefs dont take Matt Ryan then you can talk about a 0-16 record on the season with a 25 game losing streak and miss out on the playoffs for the 2 straight year
The best thing for the Kansas City Chiefs to do is to go after QB Matt Ryan out of Boston College
It will be like the best move in Kansas City History if they get Matt Ryan and sign him to a 60 to 70 million dollar contract

there is NO NEED 2 take matt ryan bc we already have a young qb that will b just fine once he has an offensive line 2 protect him so i say we should take mayb brandon albert bc hes prolly the most versitile offensive lineman but if we dont thats fine as long as we DONT take MATT RYAN.

dsoutee, I agree with you completely.
Matt Ryan has no arm, he is good for medium and short passes only. The running around he did at BC won't fly in the NFL. Chris Long is faster than Ryan, what does that tell you.
Vernon Gholston is ok if you are in a 3-4, because I do not think he is big enough to be a 4-3 DE, he is strong I know, but still small for DE. Word is he is stupid too.
Ryan Clady is not a number 5 pick, he is not the talent Branden Albert is who is not a number 5 either. Albert is lower rated because he has a G next to his name instead of a T.
If we pick one of these guys, I hope I am wrong.
Go Chiefs

Your right about all 3 !! Either DE Chris Long or G Brandon Albert
1) Chiefs have no O-Line to protect Matt Ryan
2) Vernon Gholston's a OLB not a DE
3) It's to early to draft the 2nd best Tackle
