How's it goin Sun Devils? I'm sure you are already looking forward to this upcoming season (I know I am). Just wanted to say how excited I am for the UGA vs. ASU game, I really think it is going to be a good game. Other than the losses to USC and Texas, y'all looked pretty tough last season. What do y'all think? Of course, I gotta pick my Dawgs!
38-28 UGA

Just like you I'm excited for this season; especially to see what Arizona State can do now that Erickson has had a year for players to acquire a feel for his system (still another year before we begin to see his players on the field).
The question this season is if Arizona State will have that impressive win this season, we had a good season last year, but there just wasn't any victory that really put Arizona State up to that next level; they benefitted in the same way that teams such Kansas and Hawaii did, a crazy season that allowed teams to just win (rather than having to defeat strong programs) to move up the rankings. I'm glad to see Arizona State playing another strong out of conference game.
As a Sun Devil it makes me sad to pick Georgia in this game and I see your score as rather accurate, about a ten point spread. ASU is still a season or two away, but watch out for them in the near future. UGA, good luck this season and as always, GO DEVILS.

This will definitely be one of our toughest games, along with USC. Georgia could come into Sun Devil Stadium as the #1 ranked team in the country. I hope that happens, I'd love for us to play the #1 team.
Go Devils!!!

This could be the most important game of the year for us. If we win we just beat the team to beat in the SEC. If we lose it could be the begging to the end for us. After UGA we're on the road at Cal then USC and a home game against Oregon. Those 3 teams have been our nemesis for the last 10 or so years.
The good thing is we're at home; it’s going to be hot (Sep 20) if we’re lucky it'll be a late afternoon game so the East coast can watch. That will be one advantage for us. The whole country will be watching which should give us some good expose to the polls.
Our running game is going to be strong this year. Our 4 headed running monsters will feature Keegan Herring, Dimitri Nance, Shaun Dewitty, and Jarrell woods. I say let the horses run to open up our passing game for Rudy.
With that being said I know we'll be in a hell of a good football game!! Good luck UGA!

To all ASU fans who have posted here. THANK YOU for actually be sensible fans rather than the trash I heard from Hawaii fans the whole month leading up to the Sugar Bowl. Y'all expect a good game, I expect a good game. The Hawaii fans could not fathom that it would be a good game (which it wasn't). To them, it wasn't in the realm of possibility for Georgia to hang with them. Glad to see y'all have your heads screwed on straight and call a good game when you see it. Good luck this season against USC! Knock them off their high horse, so to speak.

I am also looking for this to be a great game. Sure am hoping I am in Tempe in September. Counting Erickson, we play 6 coaches that have won national championships plus one, Tuberville, who went undefeated and never got a chance. This will be another tough game. Lots of SEC fans are not very familiar with the PAC 10, but I know how good of a conference it really is. I expect this will be knock down drag out affair that may not be decided until the last play. UGA plays well on the road, but this will be a bit different. Rumor...rumor only has it being an 8 PM eastern kickoff on ABC. Am sure it will be toasty, but I doubt it will impact us quite the same as for others teams in the midwest or northeast. We will be used to the heat and the dryness might actually be a relief for us.
ASU has a well deserved reputation for being a classy school and I now that we are all looking forward to tailgating with you guys before the game. Good luck, at least in the rest of your games.

34-20 UGA. I gotta go for the Dawgs too. Thanks for all of the nice remarks Sun Devil fans. This is one of the nicest board (other than the Georgia board because I'm a Bulldawg fan) I've been on yet. Go to OSU board.

Right back at you. I can't stand the SEC fans that can't fathom losing to a non-conference opponent. You guys sound like great fans and represent GA well.
Go Devils!!!

Agreed, this is the best group of SEC fans that I have dealt with. It is refreshing to hear legitimate thoughts rather than the "we will win, SEC is so much better than your conference" arguments that I usually see. Thank you all and can't wait to see the Bulldogs in Tempe.

This should be one helluva game. Georgia is going to be ranked in the top 5 preseason poll, and Arizona State should be at least in the top 20.
Most SEC fans always talk smack and say that their conference is the best, everyone else sucks, and other stuff like that. The Bulldogs fans who have posted here have been very respectful, and I give props to them.
Anyway, about the game... Moreno is one of the frontrunners to win the Heisman (in my opinion), and Stafford has developed into a nice quarterback. I always liked him over Tereshinski anyway. The defense is always why Georgia is so successful, and Mark Richt has done a fabulous job down in Athens.
If ASU wants to win, they have to get their running game started early. We Sun Devil fans saw plenty of slow starts last season, but they were able to overcome them. This cannot happen against Georgia. Carpenter has to make smart decisions, and the offensive line has to do a much better job. ASU lost a few starting offensive lineman during the off-season, so Rudy has to get rid of the ball quickly and accurately.
I reluctantly predict a 24-20 Georgia win, but anything can happen.
Good luck this season.
