To Tenesee G and anyone else who thinks as he does--

I'm sure there are those who jumped on the bandwagon when the Patriots started winning Super Bowls.  But most of us have been through the bad years, too--1967-73, 1989-93.  We hung in there through those years, and when that magic moment came at the end of the 2001 season, it was as big a deal for us as can be imagined; for New Englanders, on a par with the Red Sox winning the Series in 2004.

Winning those Super Bowls has been a mixed blessing along the lines you suggest.  For every bandwagon fan, there are ten haters who just hate the Patriots for beating their teams.  It's no accident that so many of the haters are Steelers fans; check out the Steelers' record against the Patriots since 2001.  Not once, but twice, some idiot Steelers player "guaranteed" that the Steelers would beat the Pats--those were the two games in which the Pats absolutely tore up the Steelers.
