Bravo fans, I don't want to jinx anything but I think we saw the beginning of a GREAT pitcher tonight. We saw a young man get totally rattled by a crappy call, lose it for a bit, but then get back on track, pitch beautifully, and grow up massively. I sense the beginning of greatness, and for now I am so proud of that guy and our club. Go Jurrjens, and Go Braves!!!!
Jurrjens has really been a breath of fresh air. He amazes me at how knowledgeable he is about the game. It's so good ot see a pitcher of his maturity and to be so young. Hopefully this is the first of many many wins against the Mets.
I like Jair Jurrjens that kid is a great pitcher in his young age and he will be big when the time comes he is a great addition to the Braves organization, and hopefully they will keep him for a long time.
Cayman Falcon, you are absolutely right. Jair Jurrjens should his mental toughness by battling through that third inning and pitching three more strong innings for the Braves.
He is going to be a great piece of the rotation for this season and many more to come.
Agee with the comments so far. I really enjoy watching Jurrjens pitch. Last night, he did get rattled, and it was a tough, tough inning, in a tough environment, but Bobby and McCann where there to get him through it. Then the offense helped him out. Great game Braves.
I think McCann does a great job working with the entire staff. I assume he has learned from the veteran pitchers, and seems to have confidence and maturity.
