Should the Texans Draft Jonathan Stewart with their First pick, or wait for a RB later?
Should they try to get washed up Alexander?

There is such a deep class this year, it would be a waste to spend our 1st round pick on Stewart. We could potentially draft a RB, Slaton, in the 3rd or 4th round and still have the speed back with moves we lack.

There are good Left tackles in this draft and I think we should grab one with our first pick....I love Clady from Boise but he wont be there...Chris Williams from Vanderbilt is our pick. Our running back situation is really not that bad....We just got Chris Brown....Chris Taylor and Ahman Green will be back from injury....and our two main guys from last year Ron Dayne and Darius Walker...though I would like for us to get someone like Mike Hart in the 5th round or something

That group of RB's has to use more Ben Gay/Icy Hot than a retirement home. Hell, the running back section of the locker room could almost be a retirement home. The Texans need to get over this crap of thinking they can go out and pick up some running backs in the twilight of their careers with the rejuvenating them. Its a lame thing to watch week in and week out. I'm about damn tired of paying for season tickets so i can see running backs that, when they do actually break into the open field, tire out after about 30-40 yards and then nearly have to be helped off the field due to being overworked. Chris Brown and Green can't stay healthy for 5 or 6 games at a time with more than 10 carries a game, much less a season. The Texans need to quit making some of these idiotic moves and get a real game breaker at the RB position to actually give their QBs a chance with a viable option for a running game.

Ok, that's my rant done for now... had to get that out.

I agree these running backs are old and we need to look for a franchise one but with this years 1st pick we have worse needs at LT and the Secondary. Maybe we could grab a Mike Hart or Rafael Little in the late rounds. I really like Darius Walker though. I dont pay season tickets because i live in Kentucky but I do buy sunday ticket so I can see em play lol.

We need a new stable of runningbacks because ours are old and washed up. I like Walker too I thouth he did well when he was in but I dont think he can be the it guy. I would like to see Jamaal Charles out of Texas in the 3rd round and use the 1st round pick on the secondary.

I do like picking up Chris Brown though. He's a pretty good back.
Ahman Green is about done. He was a great back on the Packers, but he's been injured waay too many times.
Ron Dayne is just a fat guy that claims he's a RB.
Darius Walker is a good 3rd down guy/backup.
Chris Taylor can't really be judged yet.
But like someone said... these guys use more bengay/icyhot than a retirement home.
They are always getting banged up.

I think since the Texans don't have a pick in the second, Jamaal Charles should be their pick in the 3rd. He's fast, quick, runs hard and has great moves... but he needs to bulk up to be a better inside runner. I think he can be a top 10 RB after playing a couple years.
Jamaal Charles
Chris Brown
Darius Walker
That should be the backfield. Sounds pretty dangerous to me.

I put Stewart as the RB on the post because he's my favorite in the draft....Incase you were wondering.

i think you've got to take rashard mendenhall if he's available, and if not, then jonathan stewart would be a good first round pick
