Tell me what player you want your team to pick up & why.
I personally would like to see in this order (if they're available)
*Glenn Dorsey - LSU D-Tackle. This guy is a beast and my Saints need interior help in a big way
*Sedric Ellis - USC D-Line. Was on a great team and still stood out as a power house.
*Keith River- USC Line Backer. Same as Ellis. This is the best LB in the draft and would give the Saints a GREAT LB corps.
After these three, I'b be happy with any Corner Back help we can get.

Hey, Saint. I'd like to see my Giants trade Shockey to the Saints so that we can move up to get USC LB Keith Rivers. It probably won't happen, but that's on my wish list. For the 31st overall pick, I'd like to see them take the best OLB or WR available.

I hear ya Charlie.
Rivers seems like an immediate impact guy. Of course I'd like my cake and eat it too so I'd like to give you a 2nd round for Shockey so we could hopefully get Rivers too.
If you guys get another talented WR, look out. I've never been a huge Eli fan (only because of draft day) but he sure grew up in the last 1/4 of last season and deserves some respect... I think he's turning into what may be a Great QB, especially if he gets more weapons.
Cheers!!

If you couldn't tell from my "handle" I am a hard core Buccaneers fan, from the days of day -glow orange and white. anyway, this is what I would like to see my team do.....
A) Trade or round one this year and a third next year with Micheal Clayton to cincy for Chad Johnson. ( It won't happen but I can dream)
B) 1st round wide out DeSaun Jackson from cal. 2nd round the best DB on the board.
C) 1st round wide out Jackson from cal. 2nd Johnathan Stewart RB Oregon. And in the 4th or 5th Dennis Dixon QB oregon.
and thats what I have to say about that.

I forgot to add the "why" part of my post, so here it is.....
IF we could get Johnson from the bungles we wouldn't have to take a chance on a wide out in the draft, when we have done it in the past it hasn't gone to well for us, and with the trade of Micheal Clayton we could unload one of those wide-outs that just didn't live up to expectations.
knowing that it won't happen I would want DeSaun Jackson for the speed he would bring to the team, and fill Joey Galloways shoes when he decides to retire. We need play makers and I think he fits the bill.
I would like to have J-Stewart from oregon because he is a beast. He gets stronger the longer the game goes on even when he was hurt. Hell the last game he played he set a Oregon Ducks record, he put up like 253 yeard on a hurt foot. I see no downside with him. YES, I know we have Cadillac, but who know what he will look like when he gets back on the field. Call it security. And as far as Dixon goes, Well I really like the way he plays and I think he could be a steal in this draft.

Well as far as the Texans go...
1) If the Texans stay where they are in the draft I can only hope that Rashard Mendenhall will fall to us at the 18th spot.
We just need a go to back that we know can take most of the carries and be perductive, we have a decent passing game when everyone is healthy but the ground game needs some work.
2) I also wouldnt mind a trade down and pick up some one like Kenny Phillips (Saftey out of Miami) or Reggie Smith (CB/S out of Oklamhoma).
Plain and simple our secondary isnt that good and a good saftey or corner can always help a team.

well first Shockey might be coming to Seattle wich would be awesome, but not sure if he would like to play here in Seattle, he's a big city boy and i think Seattle would just be too small for him
Now in to the question at hand in the 1st round i would love to see Stewart drop down to us and be our back of the future, team him w/ Bureleson on kick offs the first year and hand him the reigns the second. If not Stewart then a big reciver like Hardy from UI or Nordy from K state, give Hasselbeck a big target to throw to.
2nd round DT Trevor Law from N.D, this guy is a beast on the line and i think would really help out Lofa in the middle
3rd round, if we dont get Shockey, then this is where i would like to pick up a TE. like Finley from Texas or The kid from Tennesse. Big strong guys that can grow in the NFL and become better blockers and still catch the ball over the middle
Oh just to throw this in there the fourth round would be where i draft the QB of the future, maybe John David Booty or a Dixion from Oregon( i think would be a really good choice w/ coach Mora jr. taking over next season)

The sexy pick for the Redskins would be a big WR to give their new Offensive head coach a new toy. Though they do need a big receiver, I believe they can get one in the later rounds, or package some picks to move up and get one early in the second. For once they have enough picks to have some options there. But if I were picking I would say they have to go CB or Safety. If they go corner, then Springs can move to safety and they have a great cover safety to help out. if they go Safety, then springs stays at corner. Williams is now gone but left a team that requires the corners and safety to cover as they do not get much help. He is gone now and Blatche has said he will play the same type of defense. That means they are way to weak at Safety and one of their top corners isn't expected back from injury to start the season. I like Mike Jenkins wit hthis pick. if he isn't available i might take a character chance on AqibTalib. If they go safety They take Kenny Phillips. this is probably the pick since they love players from the U, he is the best Safety in the draft, and he should be available.
The other option should be the best pass rushing interior lineman on the board. They need a push up the middle and that might ake the heat off the secondary. I like Kentwan Balmer as a big bull rushing tackle.
If those guys are all gone then that means there are some kick butt offensive lineman left and they need to get someone to take over at tackle. I love Jansen but the gyu can't tay on the field these days. I like Branden Albert or Chris Williams here.
If they must go offense I say Malcom Kelly. Big, pretty good speed, good hands, needs some help in route running.

I think Dorsey should be the only guy the Saints should even think about trading up for, but outside of Rivers, neither of the other two would still be there, and Rivers may not be either. If the opportunity arises for a decent price, i say move up to get Dorsey, if not, then, either stay where we are at 10 and take a CB, or even maybe move down a few spots to pick up another pick or two and still take a CB, because there are 3 or 4 of them who are in my opinion about the same. Who knows, maybe even use one of those extra picks to replace what we might need to acquire Shockey from the Giants, or Sheppard from the Eagles.
