You dummy......They get Carolinas 1st round pick next season and will still get the Safety they want in the second round...Carolina gave up alot and Philly will be rooting for a Carolina collapse this season...Carolina 0-16 Cmon baby!

It's not really that bad of a move. They can get what they need in the second round. No Wr's have gone yet, still some good players left.

Philly is likely to get a top ten pick in 2009, not to mention a 2nd and 4th this year. Great trade!!! And only gave up the 19th pick, AWESOME!

I thought it was a great move. First, they get a lot for the pick
including a 1st round pick next year and a second this year.
Second, there is no stud WR in this draft, so they can get a guy
with one of their 2 second round picks.

Yeah we have needs, but who's off the board that we would have drafted? Nobody. Reid and co know what they are doing, and we'll move back up and get the guy we want.

The talent level for players ranked 16-32 are not as high as previous drafts. That group of players is closer to the 33-60 talent than 1-15. So instead of needing to pay first round money to second round talent. Now the Eagles have 2 picks in the 2nd round from the same talent group at a lower price, plus a 4th this year and Carolina's 1 next year. Does anybody seriously think THAT pick wont be a top 15 pick next year?
This of couse gives Philly greater firepower for trading for an Anquan Boldin or Roy Williams should they decide to bargain one of their now 2 first rounders next year.
Brilliant move by Philly, Carolina gave up waaaay to much. Does it really take a rocket scientist to see this??

do you think they're going to trade some of these picks to try to move up?...they can't use all of them...at the very least they should look to trade some for draft picks next year right?....also...does this mean they're going to be keeping lito?...i hope they do cause we'd have a dominant backfield if they do...i don't see why they'd trade him for any more picks in this year's draft at the very least...

Because it is Philly. I truly believe that Andy Reid is afraid of the first round. Most of his first rounders have flamed out, but his second rounders are golden (Westbrook comes to mind....)

My guess is that they have essentially written off next year (and quite likely McNabb). They will go for raw talent (as opposed to ready to play right away) in the remainder of the draft). They will try to win with what they have and then, with the added picks this year and next , start to rebuild.
McNabb will not be part of the future in this scenario and neither will Lito. Look for Kolb to play about 20-25% of the downs next year, especially in the second half fo the season.
Admittedly this is quite a projection based solely on what is actually a good trade even over only the next two years.

i have faith in andy reid, he's proven that we should trust him...but it bugs me that dallas is being active and getting the guys that they want...hopefully pacman and t.o. will tear up their locker room this year...oh how wonderful that would be to watch...

This move was great! Next year we'll be creaming ourselves over the extra 1st. The value (according to "experts") is in the second round. Add to that a potential Lito trade for a 2nd+ could make this a very eventful draft for us.
p.s. Westy was a third.

they dont want early picks they cost too much. why pay all that money for 1 when you can shell out the same dough and get two or three. they do the same thing every year. why are you suprised? your team blows lol. enjoy the basement i heard its damp and dark ha ha.

it should bug you that the Boys are getting what they want, but trust me.......Andy Reid is putting his team in turmoil from 1st round jitters and T.O. and Pac will be just fine....the main thing ..........6th ring for the Boys coming up..............Mcnabb is DONE!!
