CONGRATULATIONS PACKER FANS,  You just got a play maker / WR!

I love the upside to Jordy Nelson, he has the body of a tight end and 4.5 speed.   He was the top WR at Kansas State.

Guye yea he ran 4.5 but Jerry Rice ran a 4.7 and Brandon Marshall ran a 4.5. Now look at Rice and Marshall during games they are faster than a 4.5.

Nelson completely burned Aqib Talib.

Take my word. Nelson is going to split time with James Jones in the slot. And hes going to be the second coming of Donald Driver. Take my word on this.

Go to youtube and look at his highlights. He breaks ankles, He can get out of tackles, hes fast, he has great hand(s), he can get the yards after the catch exactly like Driver.

TT has always said he takes the best available player, regardless of position. Besides, as good as our WR core is, it can always get better. Driver is slowing down and Martin isnt exactly the best in the world, so it might be good to get someone in behind Driver to take over in a couple years, if Jordy pans out.

I agree, this guy would still be there 56th.  Would have liked Merling at the 30th pick. So do we hope F. Davis falls to 56th or do the Packers select a CB.

They said on ESPN that he ran track and won the 100 and 200 at state so the 4.5 might be deceptive...

WOW !!! They said the kid has 4.3 speed and it sure looked like it as he left Talib in his dust.

As a Packer fan that lives in KS, I must say it shocks me and although I don't know if WR is the most needed position. I can say for a fact that Jordy Nelson is an absolute stud. Born and Raised in Manhattan Ks he stayed home and played at K-state. Stellar athlete, He played quarterback and safety in high school and was a 3-time 1st team all state. People keep saying he ran a 4.5 which yes isn't great but he is also 6-3 and has a big frame which with some good training could add some muscle. Don't forget he was a 1st-team all american this year with a subpar quarterback passing him the ball. If you need some more convincing look up the You tube video of him torching Aqib Talib (You know that CB that was rate a top ten pick). And a little competition for playing time doesn't hurt anybody right?
