I give them a C but it's more of a C-.

The WR with their first pick made me want to give them an F but they saved the day with at least drafting a CB with there 3rd pick and I do like the Brian Brohm pick as well.

Getting Brohm there was a steal.  I do disagree with picking a wide out first, but he could turn out to be another good one.

Considering how late they were picking in the first round, I think TT did well to get what he did. I'm not as convinced as some fans that the Packers needed to take a QB so high, but I'm confident TT knows what he's doing.

Hey what can I say, I'm an optomist so I give us a B. I think these picks are going to reap their rewards 2-3 years down the road. I know everyone is on a high from last year and think that we need a few good draft picks to win the Super Bowl next year, but I think TT is trying to build a franchise team like the 60's Packers, 70's Steelers, 90's Cowboys, 00's Patriots and 10's PACKERS! Personally I would rather have a couple average seasons and get to be that elite franchise rather than have one great year and decline. I say you put this poll out there in 3 years and see what everyone thinks then.

Jordy Nelson dominated a very good Big 12 this year

The Packers have needed and over 6 foot WR (that did not suck sorry Francies) for a long time.

Driver is gone after maybe one more year whether he wants to be or not. As usch TT secured a replacement the year before. (Ala Justin Harrell draft last year to replace Corey Williams this year)

I went and read a lot about Jordy Nelson and the more I read the more I like.

Brian Brohm is not just a steal he is insurance against Rodgers being brittle or wants an insane free agent contract.

Pat Lee's back ground reads exactly like Al Harris. In fact I tried to describe him somewhere else and I thought damn I am talking about Al Harris.

I gave the draft a B because I think TT got good players in return for little money.

The extra 4th rounder is huge considerign the talent that is falling in this draft.

Radovich from USC has ZBS writen all over him.

After checking out the wide out they drafted, and figuring they'll go Defense on day 2, I give them about a B-. All their picks were good solid athletes, and all could develop well. I don't give any of them question marks in the talent/skill category.  Give them a year to learn the system, and we've got some future starters all from round 2. -Aaron

I will give it a "B". I don't think it was all that bad. At first glance most would say "C" or "D" but after looking I say "B". It is hard to judge a first day though. It is like judging a book by it's cover. TT will make us proud tommorow.

OR

when the season starts and these guys are stars.

Gave them a "C".

I HATED the first pick. I'm sorry, this is nothing against Jordy Nelson, I am sure he's a fine player with great qualities, but this draft was WROUGHT with receivers of Nelson's talents, look at the receivers that went after him AND are still on the board, you're telling me this Nelson kid is definitively better than them??? I don't think so, they could have gotten this kid or one exactly like him in the thrd round. Meanwhile a kid who was on par in talent and draft grade and was in a position the Packers actually NEEDED went a couple of picks later, the kid I am speaking of is Carson, the TE from Notre Dame. The talent at TE is NOT as deep in this draft and the drop off after the top 2 or 3 is IMMENSE, whereas there are like 15 WR's that are on par with Nelson. Also factor in the fact that the Packers have FIVE quality WR's already, I mean in reality best case scenario Nelson beats out Martin for the #5 WR spot on the team next year and eventually works his way into the top 3 or 4 in a year or two and MAYBE becomes a starter 4 or 5 years from now, woop deee freakin doo, whereas we go into next with ONE proven TE and Carson looks to be a guy who can be an NFL TE. I'm sory but the pick of Nelson is such a botch it is of astronomical proportions. TT needs to be taken to task on this one, so what if he finds diamonds in the rough in the middle rounds, start taking impact guys with your first pick for cryin out loud.

Brohm was a steal and a great pick. WE needed a backup for Rodgers and a plan B in case Rodgers doesn't pan out. Personally I hope Rodgers does great and Brohm ends up being a guy we trade away a couple years from now like we did throughout the 90's with Detmer, Brunell, Brooks, Peterson etc.. etc... but if that doesn't happen I think we got a first round caliber QB talent late in the 2nd round in Brohm, and that is a smart great pick IMO.

SEC speedat CB with the last of our three first day picks. Can't go wrong with that. We got two great starters at CB, we needed a young guy we could bring along and might contribute in the nickel or dime packages. This could be that guy and is a smart pick.

Truth is if they would have taken Carson (TE) with that first pick and followed suit with these two other picks I would have given our first day draft picks an A+, but I think the Nelson pick was so bad it offset the other two to bring it down to a "C"

I'm not as down on the Nelson pick as I was when it first occurred (it reminded me of the Harrell pick where we chose a guy none of us had heard of at a position we already had depth at), but after looking at some mock drafts both Nelson and Lee were projected as third-rounders and I feel we kinda reached on them both. But Brohm falling to 56 helps make up for that. I hope Lee is more than just a body that will be in the same group as Bush and Blackmon and Williams where they have alot of potential but never really make it. IMO TT was hoping that Flowers, Philips, or Keller would still be there at 36 and when all three got scooped up in those few picks he went to the good ol' board.

I said B. I like the Jordy Nelson pick alot. He's a great receiver, its just he was under the radar. Brohm puts us in a healthier situation at qb. We needed a corner and I don't know much about Lee and I agree with exactly what PackerZack said about it. Really like the Jordy Nelson pick though.

IMO TT was hoping that Flowers, Philips, or Keller would still be there at 36 and when all three got scooped up in those few picks he went to the good ol' board.Regardless of the chants Jets fans were doing right after the trade I thought it was crystal clear the Jets had targeted Keller and were going to take him at #30, so i hope TT didn;t think Keller was going to be there at #36. I do agree that I think he had thought and hoped Flowers was going to still be there. I think when Flowers went right before they picked it kind of took them off guard, i seriously think TT wanted Flowers bad and when he wasn't there he totally reached on Nelson. I said it once and I'll say it again, I don;t care how much you like a player if that player is going to be there ALOT later you need to be smart enough to recognize that. Carson was the pick at #36, Nelson or a WR like him would be there later.

Regarding the Jordy Nelson pick at #36,.....this guy will never sit out because of an injury issue. He will play, and you will never know he is hurting. He will never ask for more money 1yr after signing a contract. He'll be the first to the practice field and the last out the showers. Comparing him to other "better" receivers like Limas Sweed,....Jordy made Limas look like a JV high school player for the last 2 years. If you love Brett Favre,....you'll love Jordy Nelson. He's the same package, just playing at WR.

As far as getting him in the 3rd,...The Bills, the Broncos and the Colts all had Nelson high on their list and expected to land him in the 2nd round. If he was still available, it was expected the Colts would make him their first pick at #59.

If you are a Packers fan,....make a note of all the critics that thought this was a bad pick and check back with them in a year. I fully expect Jordy to be a fan favorite.

B

Nelson is the next Driver.

Brohm was a good pick for backing up Rodgers, potential, and fits the offensive scheme.

Lee has good potential and fits the defensive scheme like a glove.
