I think if Quentin Groves hadn't had that hernia surgery he would have been a #1 pick, so i look at it like we got 2 #1 picks, Peyton is gonna be running for his life.
Everyone says how Marcus Stroud was a key departure, but i think Rob Meir WILL fill in nicely at his vacated spot, he played really well last year, and he could start for almost any other team in the NFL.

Quentin Groves had minor-heart surgery.
Phillip Merling had surgery for a sports hernia.
You're right though, if Groves did not have surgery, he probably would have been an early second round pick. His stock was dropping anyway.

Either way between him and Landri we are fine because Stroud was out for like what 6-7 games last year? He won't be missed our D line got the boost we needed! I was not near as worried about a DT than a good DE or 2 for that matter! In the Pitt game Landri showed a lot of promise as a young kid, given a chance this year he may be exactly what we needed to help Big John!
Go Jags!

Greg Williams: (With googlie eyes smiling ear to ear) JDR....Wayne thanks for all the toys!!!!
Peyton, Vince, and Matt Schaub: Wow they are gonna bring the heat. We are gonna be on our asses alot next year.
Tom Brady: I guess I am not going to have a day and a half to throw each pass like last year.
John Henderson: Finally, no more double teams and a chance to have an impact.

Well i think Meir is pretty good and that's my opinion, your opinion is yours.
But i guarentee you if Meir was released he would be picked up in a heart beat. It isn't like Del Rio woke up one day and said i'm going to trade Stroud, Meir can handle his own, he has for almost 2 years.
Along with all the young players we got apparently Stroud was the one that was expendable.

Well, everyone seems to be sporting an avatar of Harvey, so I guess I'll give Grooves a little love. I love this pick, he is one of those DE that can stand up and I am giddy just thinking about what Gregg Williams will do.
I think we should try and move back into the 3rd round and maybe land Josh Barret. I really like him, he is a hitter like Darius was but is faster then DD.
