I hope not.

Man, just 2 rounds on the 1st day AND it started at 3pm.  I wish it started earlier and went 3 rounds.  I like the shortened rounds though.

We did what we had to do at 20,  none of the recievers that were available had value at that pick so we went defense and we got a guy that fits into Monte Kiffins scheme and then in the second round we dropped 6 spots got an extra 5th and 7th round pick next year and still got  the second fastest reciever/ returner at sub 4.3 time.  Things are looking positive we have three more picks tomorrow 3rd, 4th and 5th.  I feel like we still need to stay defensive olb Tavares Gooden?  Remeber Monte won us that superbowl DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS OFFENSE FILLS THE SEATS    GO BUCS!!!

Dexter Jackson is gonna surprise a lot of people.  If you don't know much about him check out draftguys.com.  He will be a nice piece in Gruden's mad scientist puzzle.

Bucs fans are gonna love this guy's speed.

GrudenIsNotEvil, what are you talking about? Allen and Gruden are horrible at drafting! We should have taken Mike Jenkins at corner instead of Aquib Talib! The guy has failed THREE drug test's in THREE YEARS! in the NFL if he fails a drug test one time he is gone for 4 games, 25% of the season. Dexter Jackson! Give me a break. The man over 4 years averaged 27.5 receptions, 4.25 TD's, and 461.5 yards A YEAR. He had 110 catches, 17 TD's, and 1846 yards in his CAREER! He was not even the number one WR on his team. He is a late 3rd or 4th round pick. Punts and Kickoffs are included in those 17 TD'S. We could have got Limas Sweed with that second pick, or Mario Manningham who played against big ten comp and did great. This is just another example of Gruden and Allen not helping the team the best they can.

Yeah I'm pumped.

We have 4 picks tomorrow... 3,4, and two 5's.

I would like to have some DL depth, and maybe even another WR a la Caldwell... that would be a nice project.

But I think any position is a need as far as depth goes.  We had a nice off-season in adding depth all around.  So any pick at any position is welcome.

GO BUCS!!!!!!!

Limas Sweed sucks.

Injury Report

2007: Was limited in spring drills and fall camp by a nagging left wrist injury that would eventually require surgery...Missed the second half of the Central Florida game (9/15) due to a left ankle sprain...Re-injured his wrist vs. Kansas State (9/29) and again the next game vs. Oklahoma (10/03)...Underwent left wrist surgery Oct. 16 and missed the team's final seven games...Underwent ligament surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Thomas R. Hunt III, University of Alabama-Birmingham director of orthopedic surgery, performed the minor ligament reconstruction and predicts a smooth journey for the All-American.

Negatives: Has excellent size and good strength, but he is not a face-up blocker and tends to shy away from contact when asked to lead block on sweeps and outside runs...Has had several problems with his left wrist that forced him to undergo mid-season surgery in 2007 and further medical evaluation is advised...Has a very fluid running stride, but is raw in his route running technique and needs to refine his plant-and-drive agility coming out of breaks (takes soft angle cuts, at times)...Also needs to show better stop-and-go action, as he will take a few false steps when trying to redirect back to the quarterback...Breaks off his routes too early when trying to get separation, and while he has a good reach he spends too much time trying to overpower press coverage defenders rather than trying to slip past and avoid...Also likes to combat with the defenders down field in attempts to get them out of their backpedal early, but it also ends up slowing down his route progression...Has had a history of concentration problems which prevents him from getting proper position to make the catch...Must do a better job of looking the ball in and securing it before trying to run with it (leads to dropped balls)...Has good leaping ability, but shows poor timing and arm extension trying to battle for jump balls (left 20 of 39 passes thrown to him behind in 2007)...More of a straight-line runner who can get under the pass nicely running straight-line routes, but lacks the loose hips to get a clean break and is more apt to break arm tackles rather than elude the defender in the open...For some reason, he failed to drop his weight and keep his feet working through pattern progression in 2007.

Boo hoo!  Sorry you hate Gruden and question every move he makes.  Must be tough to be a Bucs fan wishing the head coach gets canned.

Talib is BETTER than Jenkins dude.  Don't be a USF homer.

Talib dropped due to his off-field issues.  So we got a nice talent.

Remember Warren Sapp who dropped to us when he failed his drug test?  How about Gaines Adams and his drug issue that came before last years draft?   Who cares... they ALL smoke/smoked weed at one time man. And it's just weed.

Why don't you start you own Bucs pitty party thread.
