I think Hester from LSU is a player that the Bolts will take a serious look at. He's projected to go somewhere in the 4th to 5th round in the draft, so we may get a shot to pick him with our first pick of the secdond day. He seems to me to be the type of player we need, as he was a fullback and halfback in college. He has good size for a runningback, but at 5-11 and 230, he's about 20 pounds lighter than lo-neal and Pinnock. The reason given for the team possibly parting ways with Neal is that they want somebody more versatile, and this kid can pound the ball, and has great hands. He also loves playing on special teams, and says that's one of his favorite parts of the game. He was a team leader for LSU last season, and a huge fan favorite. He isn't blazing fast (4.66 40 time in college), but has great speed for a fullback, and is known for his toughness and leadership. He reminds me alot of Eric Weddle, only on the other side of the ball. I think he'd be a great fit, and could step in at fullback for an added dimension, plus he could also be used in Turner's role relieving LT. He can do alot of things very well, and is just a very good overall football player. Sounds like an AJ Smith type of player to me.

I was thinking that  also. He has speed and if he adds some bulk would be a good fit for this offense.

WOW, I never thought of that. Jacob Hester is such a great player, I would love to see him come to play for our Chargers.  Not so sure about him at fullback, but with Lorenzo Neal most likely, unless a miracle happens, getting traded, then yes, he would fit.  Other than that, he knows how to pound the ball, and if Im not mistaken, he hasnt fumbled the ball many times, so I would also love to see him run when LT is taking a breather.

Bolts should get high supplementary picks next year for D FLO and Turner....I would guess a 3rd for Turner and a 4th for D FLO, so they should be good with picks next year.  Hopefully 2009's 2nd round pick will be #64 overall.

Great call SanDiegoRulez!

Didn't like seeing another 2nd round pick go but it also doesn't surprise me that AJ Smith would not sit idle until the 5th round.

Good call rulez!

Now if we can get Silva from B.C. and or Tom Z. from Notre Dame I'll call this draft a success. Oh and an O lineman maybe Rinehart from Northern Iowa.

I didn't like the idea of trading with the Patriots.....and I kind of wanted them to trade up and get Kevin Smith, but I think this pick will work out.....I trust A.J. on this and he is a Michael Turner type back, maybe a little slower......

and they must think he is better than Chauncey Washington and Cory Boyd

Good Call! AJ must have read this :) I have a question though....what does it mean when it says "from Raiders through Patriots" ?
