Gone through an entire draft and selected 7 players that I had never heard of until the past 3 days. (Flynn and Brohm are the obvious ones). I've watched Auburn a few times but didn't pay attention to Patrick Lee enough to know who he is. I think I might've watched Finley but didn't recognize the name. Oh well, lets hope all 9 of these players make a pro bowl and/or take us to the Super Bowl. If Flynn and Brohm's game can translate well into the NFL we could have the best QB depth in the NFL. I'll no longer be worried about QB depth. Anyone else know a lot about the 7 other draft picks? I sure don't. I've heard a lot of good things about Jordy Nelson.

How could you have never heard of Matt Flynn or Brian Brohm? I would say they were pretty big name players.

How could you have never heard of Matt Flynn or Brian Brohm?

He said those were the only 2 players he had heard of and he didnt know who the other 7 guys they drafted were.

It was unfortunate that the Chiefs snatched Brandon Flowers one pick ahead of Green Bay.  I think Patrick Lee can be pretty good though.  I have also heard a lot of good things about Jordy Nelson.  When they first picked him I wasnt really sure if I liked the selection but I think it should work out well.  I think Jermichael Finley has tremendous upside as well.  Lets hope Ted Thompson knows what he is doing!!

I don't know how you can like the QB depth. Between the 3 of them they have 0 career starts in the NFL. I do believe that Rodgers and Brohm will be good, but i was kind of surprised they spend another pick and another roster spot on a QB who has taken 0 snaps in the NFL.

The same thing happened to me last year.  I NEVER heard of anyone we drafted.  I didn't want to be disappointed again this year.

So I printed out a spread-sheet of the top 10 players at every position.  Either way, Jordy Nelson wasn't on it haha.  So I was disappointed again.

I don't know how you can like the QB depthRight now it's not the best, but in two years we'll love it.  At that point Brohm will either be seen as the savior because of a frequently-injured Rodgers or as the hottest commodity in the trade market if Rodgers proves durable enough.  Remember what the Texans did to get Matt Schaub?  Brohm will be worth more.

Another draft and another "What the @#$% ?!" from Packer followers everywhere on TTs draft. I understand the man likes to trade down for more picks but lets look at this for a second. He trades down a bunch of times to get extra picks but still ends up with no extra prospects - 7 rounds we get 7 players total. He wastes a 7 round pick on WR Swain because  there is no room for him on the roster with 9 WR already here. But the thing that busts my chops is he trades down a bunch but then has to use those extra picks to trade back up again to get a guy he likes which he could have had all along if he had been patient. The Jets screwed us over by trading with GB into the first round to get Keller. We go back and take Jordy Nelson(??), Brohm (this pick could make the entire draft I will give him that) and Patrick Lee(??). Lee had a 3-4th round grade from most scouts. Some had him barely draftable. The first day should have gone like this: Take CB Brandon Flowers at 30, Brohm right were they did take him, and Limas Sweed with the last 2nd rounder (or Jordy Nelson if TT has a love affair with this guy). I think the fourth rounder they got from the Jets in this trade ended up being traded to Minnesota for  seventh rounders or to move up I forget which. TT usually ends up with one high quality guy per draft then the rest is a waste - Jennings was a quality guy but I dont remember who else from that draft. Harrell will be the quality guy from last year but everyone else is an afterthought. TT needs to work the draft better by understanding the meaning of "value pick" - too many reaches and pointless going up / down  the draft board for my taste.

I know you should never draft for need, but don't you have to take need into consideration?

Jprdy Nelson may be fine, but I think we have a bigger need at cornerback and with Flowers sitting there who is first round caliber talent, or perhaps the safety Phillips out of Miami would make more sense.

The Brohm pick is very good, as Wolf always said you can never have to many quarterbacks.
