I've tried to post this a couple times, but I think the server is severely challenged

Well the clock has stopped for the AFC North.  Now the Starter Sportswear is being moving to the shleves for your favorite player. Do you have you Beau Bell jersey yet?  While things are still fresh in you mind, how would you rank the draft within the AFC North?

Browns: #1 Brady Quinn, #2 Corey Williams, #3 Shaun Rogers, #4 Beau Bell & Martin Rucker, #6 Ahtyba Rubin & Paul Hubbard, #7 Alex Hall

Bengals: #1 Keith Rivers, #2 Jerome Simpson, #3 Pat Sims & Andre Caldwell, #4 Anthony Collins, #5 Jason Shirley, #6 Corey Lynch & Matt Sherry, #7 Angelo Craig & Mario Urrutia

Steelers: #1 Rashard Mendenhall, #2 Limas Sweed, #3 Bruce Davis, #4 Tony Hills, #5 Dennis Dixon, #6 Mike Humpal & Ryan Mundy

Ravens: #1 Joe Flacco,  #Ray Rice, #3 Tavares Gooden, #3 Tom Zbikiowski & Oniel Cousins, #4 Marcus Smith & David Hale, #6 Haruki Nakamura, #7 Justin Harper & Patrick Allen

My opinion is:

#1 Borwns: Quinn is better than any QB this year, Williams & Rogers (enuf's been said), Bell (IMO the #1 ILB in the draft and can opt to OLB as well), Rucker (#1 TE statitically in the NCAA), Rubin is a 3rd rounder using a 6th pick (could see playing time before mid-season), the rest is a bonus

#2 Bengals: They addressed the front 7 (thankfully no S.Ellis) with Rivers, Sims Shirley and Craig (sorry richyett) also they got Simpson, Caldwell and the other Super Mario to adress Henry and the Holdout. Collins could press for a starting job, but certainly will make the cut.

#3 Steelers: Mendenhall was not a need, but will make a good 1-2 and eventually will make Parker dispensible down the road. Ben got his redzone target in Sweed and I believe Davis will see playing time this year, but thankfully they still have O-line challenges. Hills helps but only for depth.

#4 Ravens: Ravens were litterally up and down.. I'm not sure they had their strategy well thought out. The players that they picked were good, but does anyone see any of these as starters this season? C'mon be honest. And what's with two RBs (Rice and Patrick) in addition to McGahee? (sorry MDfaninWV).

1. Tie between Browns and Steelers.  The moves we made with all of the talent we acquired with this year draft really brought us up to the talent level of the Steelers and all of the weapons that Bill Cowher stockpiled.  Now we can challenge the Steelers for the AFC North

The Steelers came away from the draft with some playmakers.  Now they have a RB tandem that we should be concerned about and now Ben has his "big receiver" that he requested.

We need a shutdown corner!

3.  Bengals.  They picked up Rivers and they get Odel Thurman back this year.  If they weren't so juvenile then they could contend.

4.  Ravens- rebuilding year....I wouldn't worry about them too much this year but maybe in the future once they find Ogden's replacement...very hard to fill that role.

Well, if you're ranking "the draft" you don't put Quinn, Rogers, or Williams in there, they aren't draft picks.   Quinn was counted last year, and Rogers and Williams are acquisitions, not draft picks.

I think the Browns will be better, not sure if they're as good as the Steelers just yet but they might be.  It's too early to tell.

Actually, we used our first round pick on Quinn, our 2nd round on Williams, and our 3rd round on Rogers...so basically it was our draft.

I love our 1st - 3rd round "draft picks."  Bell I think will be a much needed punisher in the middle.  I am just suprised that we did not trade either Andre Davis or Kevin Shaffer to move into 2nd or 3rd round to get a corner.  Overall, I really like our "draft."

Bengals - How the heck do the Bengals pass up the Skins offering two 1st round picks for cry baby/center of attention Chad Johnson?  This is why this franchise is in a nose dive.

Steelers - I love (hate) thier 1st pick in Mendenhall.  He is going to be a stud.  He has as much if not more upside than McFadden.

Ravens - They needed a QB badly and only time will tell if they chose wisely.  Overall, I think the Ravens did well.  Good year to trade down.

Dawgdaze,

Good stuff.  The Bengals draft went pretty well. Didn't get Ellis but we got Rivers and Simms. Only time will tell if the combo was better than trading up to get Ellis. At this point I will take the two guys are better than one in our porous defense.

Jerome Simpson has been the target of critisism. People say the Bengals reached there but they evaluated and evaluated and re-evaluated Malcom Kelly and opted for Simpson. They had their choice of Kelly, Sweed, and Jackson. They chose Simpson. The Bengals have had a knaack for selecting WR's. Soo... you could seell me on the reach if all of the above recievers had already been selected.. But that wasn't the case and Simpson was the reciever the Bengals had #1 on their board.

The rest of the AFC North:

Browns: Did well to get value out of their late round picks. Quinn is better than Ryan IMO so that worked over very well for them. I like the Williams deal. Rogers deal is a risk and only time will tell how that deal worked out. You have to hope for NO injuries to your corners.

Steelers: They had a fine draft. They got a fine RB and a tall WR. I thought they may address the OLine earlier but we shall see. Can't ever question the Steelers.. They always find guys and plug them in and they turn out to be good players.

Ravens: Ahh kinda wondering about their draft. Who knows Flacco maybe a great. I thought they would draft a CB but they opted for Rice in the 2nd round. I thought that was kinda early for an RB with Mcgahee in the fold.. But its the draft and only time will tell.. But come on Zibikowski in the 3rd? Yikes for you guys.. The Bengals got Ndukew in the 7th last year and Ziby has Nothing on him! Good punt returner though.. ZERO pass defense ability!
