Saints=A-     The reason the A comes into play is the aquisition of Vilma for a 4th round pick. Sedrick Ellis will be an absolute man child. We had a lack of speed and athletisism in the secondary so Tracy Porter will be a welcome addition. Carl Nicks has a lot of talent but has some baggage. Adrian Arrington in the 7th was great value . With a solid off-season the Saints should be back in the mix for the NFC Championship.

Green Bay   ---  C +

I thought it was stupid to draft  Jordy Nelson with there first pick --- the Packers needed a solid CB ( since they need help in the secondary and Harris struggled in  in the playoffs ) ---  Thomps on should of possibly moved up or attempted to get a first round Corner to help in the nickle / Dime Packages .....

Briah Brohm  - The Packers are going to get alot of slack for picking up Brohm but lets face it....If    Rodgers is as injured prone as some say or doesnt cut it this year....who says Green Bay will gaurantee him as the starter in 2009 ( after all this is a league that tends to want to win NOW not later and green bay has built for the future ) .....and if he does do well we have a solid backup  to step in and hopefully grow as a potential replacement - so either way the packers strenghten their depth at QB

Patrick Lee -  I was dissapointed that this position wasnt picked hire....Woodson has had injury problems in the past and Harris got burned in the playoffs last year.....and with both being in there "30's" the packers need depth and a possible replacement player ......Lee could be a decent player...or be another terrible CB the packers drafted....

The Rest -  I was glad Green Bay added depth at DE by drafting Jeremy Thompson.......they need a solid backup or rotation in case Biamila or Kampman get hurt....they also added depth at Guard , OT, QB and WR by drafting each positon in the later rounds of the draft..the interesting pickup was again QB...which means Green Bay has alot of Young talent at the position with Rodgers ( 25 ) , Brohm (  23 ) & Matt Flynn ( 23 ) --- the packers also drafted another Tight End ( Jermichael Finley ) who can hopefull help on offense.

can I only give 1 + for my Titans' A???  if I can give it more, then let's go about A+++ sounds about right to me

Only the GM is as positive as you.  good for you though having faith that they did the right thing/

I agree about the Steelers having the potential for an A+

Washington Redskins-B

Devin Thomas was a great pick, but the Redskins continued to draft offense while they have a number of holes on defense. Malcolm Kelly is also a great receiver, but again, after drafting Thomas I'm not sure he was necessary.

I was really upset when we let Dorsey and Ellis get drafted ahead of the Bengals because they were just sitting and waiting. Obviously, Lewis and company had a plan and stuck to it. We never know how something will pan out because we can't predict injuries (like a David Pollack), but this is why I give the Bengals an A+.

They stood pat and kept their 3rd round pick. If they traded, they would have lost it and not got Sims. They would have got Ellis, but not Rivers. So, they got three players instead of two. Then, they drafted a raw beast in Shirley to give them the ability to switch off between a base 3-4 defense (two nose tackles in Sims and Shirley) and a 4-3. They are now deep at linebacker and can play to their strength. I still see the pass rush as an issue so they will have to blitz a lot to get to the quarterback more often than the 22 times in 2007.

I also like both receivers they picked. Sweed had the name and the big school and they passed on him and went with Simpson. I trust that decision was thought out long and hard. It will one of the keys to Marvin keeping his job next year. Then, they went and got a 4.3 speed guy in Caldwell who is ready to step in as a three receiver right now. If Chad comes back, great, if not, they are building for the future.

The massive versatile Collins was a guy the Steelers and Ravens needed more than the Bengals. He is young and strong and a 4th round steal.

I, like Bengalsfan agree, the Bengals still have work to do, but I think this draft was huge start in the right direction. The schedule is brutal in 2008, but 2009 is looking better and better as these young guys develop.

Last point on Chad, I hope the Bengals now stick to their guns and let him retire or hold out to make a point not only with Chad, but to any player who does not want to honor their contract. If they do trade him, trade him to a rebuilding team or a team with a lousy quarterback and watch his numbers slide.

Chad fess up and apologize to the organization, your coach and most importantly to all of the fans who supported you all these years.

Well, I said I would be happy with the Patriots draft if they addressed the two areas on defense they needed help.

Lo and behold, they went out and got 3 linebackers, and 2 players in the defensive secondary.  I think Mayo will see alot of time this year.  If he pans out they will be able to move Thomas to the outside and have a pretty decent rotation.

I think you will see Pierre Woods in the rotation this year, and the two other linebackers they drafted will see mostly special teams.

It also wouldn't surprise me to see they grabbed a new starter at Cornerback.

I'd give them an A
