Rice was selected in the 2nd round, 55th overall by the Baltimore Ravens.
His competition on the Ravens is Willis McGahee (294 carries, 1207 yards, 4.1 YPR, 7 tds) and Musa Smith (75 carries, 264 yards, 3.5 YPR, 2 TD's).
Hopefully he will be able to get some playing time this year.
Important date to note: November 16th at NY Giants.

I am just happy that Ray is a hop skip and a jump away!

This is a great fit for him. They are a power running team, and Ray does his best work between the tackles.

being a ravens fan, i couldn't be happier. I was literally bouncing off the walls last night. Ray will go in an be the back-up and will definatly see time in the red-zone where McGahee struggles a bit. and fyi, despite what the op said, Musa Smith is no longer a raven, he's currently a free agent,
I can wait to get my purple ray rice jersey

good for rice a 2nd round pick in a deep year for rb's but i thought he would go higher then the guy the titans drafted. also who has a shot next year i think teel should be drafted probably not high but he is a smart qb who has a good arm

ray rice is the man he will be good for the ravens. he will def see at least a few carries this year especially if theres injury of course. hes a solid player and a workhorse. and about teel i doubt he gets drafted may end up at some camp and sign on a practice squad but i think that theres better qbs out there

I think Teel has a good shot at getting drafted. He has a pro arm, and if Colt Brennen and Booty can get drafted so can he.

teels shot at the pros depends on this years numbers in the air and how well we end up doing as a whole.... my personal opinion is he needs a beard to make him seem more manly in order to get drafted... hehe

As an Oakland Raiders fan since the early 70's, the best I can hope for is that Russell and McFadden somehow gel and we become a dynasty before we turn into the second coming of the New York Jets!
In the meantime, I have to admit that Ozzie Newsome is one smooth operator. He had Flaco and Ray high on their draft board and went after them via trades and drafting sense. The Ravens do a tremendous job of aquiring talented players that everyone else seems to overlook. RAY LEWIS is just one of many, character issues aside. In this respect, I have and will pay more attention to the Ravens until Al Davis disappears from view. I will attend the Ravens v. Raiders game in Balt to say Ray run....

I expect Teel to have a big year, but I still don't think he is Pro material. He makes too many mistakes and has no mobility. Bad combo for the next level. I think he is slightly above average at the college level.
